Modern, Upgraded Version Of An Old Favourite!
When my wife was contemplating having me order these two sippy cups for our new granddaughter, I asked her if it was really necessary to get these since we had already ordered one. She explained that the design of these was similar to the sippy cups we had always used with our children and that, until a year ago, our youngest grandson was more than happy to use one of them when he was visiting. I ordered the cups.So what endears these cups to my wife? They work. Sturdily constructed, with double seal lids that fit securely on the tops of the cups, the contents never spill thanks to their slightly rounded bottoms which lean, wobble, and move about but donât easily tip over. The spout on the cup closes when not in use so that even upside down, the contents donât come leaking out. Whatâs more, with their two handles and more compact size, the cups are easy to grasp and manipulate, even for very young children..Unlike the ancient hard plastic model which our children used when they were little years ago, these sippy cups have all the design improvements seen in childrenâs tableware these days; they are made of 100% food grade silicone, have a soft spout to protect teeth, are microwave and dishwasher safe, and are, of course, BPA, PVC, and phthalate free. Itâs really nice that the set comes with two cups avoiding issues with constant washing. The cups are perfect for taking along with you; they really cut down on spills in the stroller or car.For our children, cups similar to these were what made it possible for them to make an easy transition from being breast fed to drinking from a cup. Their ease of use and the fact that there were few spills allowed our children to feel successful and that they were âgrowing upâ. If our granddaughter gets the same use and enjoyment out of these new, improved models, I will be happy we ordered them. This is a great traditional product brought up to modern standards. Highly recommended.
Many pros, one con
Very nice cups, appropriate for babies and toddlers that don’t have very good control and might drop or overturn them. They don’t leak, they are sturdy and look quite lovely. Material is soft and forgiving for baby teeth. Easy to hold and maneuver by little ones. Excellent size, easy to clean and dry.My only issue with these is that they attra t absolutely any kind of particle they come in contact with. When they came, I touched them and they were covered in what seemed like very fine sand-like stuff, probably from the cardbord and other things on the production line. That was easy to clean, but as soon as I dried them and started using, I found that all kinds of clothing fibers, food crumbs, pet fur, baby hair, basically anything they came in contact with, got stuck to them.To me, that’s kinds icky and I constantly feel like I have to wash them. This makes me want to use them less.
Fantastic sippy cups. Great size for little hands.
These sippy cups by Nouka are fantastic. They are made of excellent quality silicone so they are soft to the touch and are just the perfect size for little hands to easily hold and grip. They are nicely balanced too and don’t leak.For the grownups, they are easy to clean as you can toss them in the dishwasher or easily wash them in the sink.All around, a really great set and these are cups that are going to last a long time. They will make it through more than one little one if you happen to have or plan to have more than one. That’s the kind of quality that I especially like when purchasing items for little ones.These definitely earn all five stars.
Safe material and dishwasher safe!
I like that this product is made from 100% food-grade silicone, itâs safe, soft, and gentle on little mouths. Also, I like the non-spill design, it helps reduce messes when my little one is eating, and the double handles are easy for small hands to grip. The silicone material also keeps the cup from slipping, adding convenience for both parents and kids. The gamechanger is how it’s dishwasher safe, which makes cleanup a breeze, and the colors were cute as well. The downside is that the 6 oz size is perfect for younger kids but may not be enough for older toddlers who drink more. While the cup is spill-proof, liquid can occasionally leak if shaken too hard, and the soft silicone might make drinking tricky if the valve isnât aligned properly. Overall, I loved how it helped me with messes and it was easy to clean. I can recommend it!
Great Quality
We are a big fan of the Nouka line of products. They are well made and a Canadian company that is also sold in stores. These sippy cups are great because they are so easy for our toddler to hold on to. The colours are nice and rich. Super easy to clean. The silicone doesn’t come with a scent like some other silicone products do. Overall great quality.
Nouka non slip sippy cups
I wanted so bad to like this product like the other Nouka items I got but it’s either not for us, or we are missing something. I was so exicted to get these as I’m weaning my baby off the bottle, and she learned to use a straw and has used other sippy cups. Problem is wondering if the other parents tried to test it out, you can’t drink from it. The only way is you squeeze with your teeth on the upper part where you need to sipp so the milk or water comes out in the mouth. Not practical although the tight opening on the top prevents water from spilling. I still gave it to my toddler hoping she will figure how to drink from it and she picked it up quickly luckily but still she didn’t like it. Also i dislike the way you need to squeeze the cup to be able to open the lid instead of turning it. I’ll still give these cups more tries and time to see if it will grow on me. And will update this post.
Nouka makes a large array of different soft silicone items that are great for baby led feeding. These cups, although on the expensive side will hold up and are perfect for transitioning to big kid cups and straws. They are soft which makes them very “grippable” for little hands. I especially love the colors, they are soft and match with all their products, great earth tones! They are also easy cleanup, dishwasher safe. Love them would recommend!
I like these a lot. The top to bottom seal is VERY secure which makes me feel way better about them getting tossed (they will). I also like that the sippy portion is more like a bite valve than just a gaping hole so its doesn’t spill as much. Very nice design overall, I’m pleased.
