Very spill safe
My toddler isnt a huge fan of sippy cups, she prefers straws, but shes still at that age where she likes to wave everything around rather vigorously. I find these cups in particular to be very good for letting her have a drink handy without having juice go absolutely everywhere. Especially when I only fill them half way, theyre very safe. A couple drops might come through the air hole if she basically turns it almost upside down, but not a lot. The air hole means theres no suction issues though, and if you take out the straw, the flap can be used to seal the cup completely. The silicone is very high quality and feels very nice, and the muted colors look rather pretty. Theyre a breeze to wash whether by hand or by dishwasher too. Theyre durable and also keep their shape well. I really like these, theyre such good quality.
Very cute
This is a great addition to my babyâs feeding set. The size is perfect and itâs so easy to clean. It is so cute!
Decent silicone cups
This set of silicone cups are good for a variety of uses, but use caution when washing with strong smelling soaps or with what you put in them having strong odors – silicone is known to absorb and hold onto smells a bit stubbornly. You can run them through the dishwasher but they will likely come out smelling soapy if you don’t use unscented soaps. Boiling them helps and is the best method for cleaning, though inconvenient. If you have a baby bottle sanitzer that works with steam & jets it would be ideal. Overall better than plastic but with their own foibles. Your milage may vary.
Great Straw Cups
We are a big fan of the Nouka line of products. They are well made and a Canadian company that is also sold in stores. I really like the straw cups because they easily are maneuverable and yet they are leak/spill-proof. The colours are nice and rich. Super easy to clean. The silicone doesn’t come with a scent like some other silicone products do. Easy for the kids to hold on to as it is a bit flexible but not too much. Overall great quality.
Nice colors, neat idea for leak proof
The color is very nice and muted. Love how the cups are dishwasher safe and microwave safe. Nice feature to place the tab where the straw goes to make the cup leak proof. You still have to be careful of the lid because if you squish it, it may come off. Hasn’t happened yet though!
Very cool spill proof cups.
These are to advanced for my short king, so I tested them out myself. Comfortable to hold, nice texture/grip, and I like that it’s diswasher friendly.
Great quality
I sometimes babysit my friend’s kids, and while I give them straws to drink out of glasses, I know that’s not very kid-friendly. But I don’t have any kid-friendly cups in my home…Until now! The Nouka straw cup is perfect for when they come over next. I don’t have to worry about them using heavier glasses without lids.Overall, the cups are very nice quality, with some grip to it. The lid has a breathe hole for when using the straw, but otherwise, there is a little flap that you can place over the straw hole. The silicone material is quite thick, but I find the cups may flex if held too tightly. This may potentially loosen the lid, if squeezed very tightly. It’s unlikely to be a problem, especially because the kids I got these for are slightly older. Also, they’re pretty pricy; at time of ordering they were $41.99 CAD for 2 8-oz cups with lids and straws.
Great quality spill-proof cups for toddlers
Iâve been using this straw cup for my toddler, and itâs been really practical. The soft silicone straw is gentle on her gums, and the spill-proof design actually worksâno leaks! Itâs easy to clean and dishwasher safe, which is a huge plus for me. The airtight lid makes it great for on-the-go, and I love the calming colors. Overall, itâs a simple but effective cup for daily use.
My girls love these cups. Anything with a straw is a win. Cups and straws that are plastic-free are also a win. Iâve been washing these in the dishwasher for at least 6 months and they continue to hold us well.
These cups are just perfect for your learning little babe! My baby gets the perfect grasp and loves practicing drinking her water at meals.
The noüka training cups are made of a soft durable silicone that cleans up easy and with the lids, liquids don’t spill out. The handles and texture seem perfect for our baby to maneuver in and out of her mouth. She loves the colors!
This set of two straw cups by Nouka provide a positive transition for baby who is attempting to learn how to drink from something other than a bottle all the time. While this cup would initially be easier for a baby to hold if it had handles to grab onto, the lack of them is not such a detriment, as the cup itself is not so large a young toddler would have a hard time managing it with small hands. The things I really like about this cup is the size is not large. Being of silicone, it does not slide around too much on a flat surface. The cup itself has a rolled rim at its top edge which allows the lid, once attached to the cup, to be held securely in place. It is not likely to pop off if the cup were dropped or thrown to the floor. The silicone straw is soft and flexible, making it comfortable for a teething baby to chew on, and much less dangerous than a plastic straw when your curious toddler happens to fall when walking with the straw in its mouth. The straw has a slight curve at the top, which you can see in the photos. It is a one piece straw, and while it has a tight fit in the hole designed for it, it is possible for a child to pull the straw out from the cup, as there is no lip or rim that helps to secure it to the lid. It is not likely to ever fall out on its own however. The cup is quite easy to clean, as it is dishwasher safe. The straw does need to be cleaned with a brush, which is not provided. The lid has an attached hinged piece you push into the space for the straw on the lid when not being used, making the cup leak proof if being transported filled. The cup with the straw in place is certainly not leak proof if turned over or shaken when filled. As your child gets older and wants to drink from a regular glass, you can just take the lid off and this can become their regular drinking glass. I actually like these particular straw cups so much I just purchased two more today, as two toddlers just learning how to eat and drink from a cup at the same time makes for a lot of cleaning up and washing dishes during the day.
If you’re looking for a cup to help transition to straws, this is an amazing option. It’s definitely not cheap (as of the time of this review, it’s $35 for a pair) but the quality of these cups is evident from the moment you take them out. They are made of a silicone that’s really pleasant to the touch, and are also very “grippy”, which is especially good if you have a child whose dexterity is not great. But even if they do drop the cups, the cap stays on just fine, so you’ll just spill a bit through the straw. Finally, because said straw is also a flexible silicone, I don’t have any worries of disasters accidents where my child could ostensibly impale their mouth or throat. All in all, this thing is safe, clean, child-pleasing, and fun!
