Olanda infrared thermometer is a dual mode thermometer intend to obtain the body temperature from forehead and ear canal. The thermometer obtains temperature in a Non-contact measurement by taking infrared transmitter inside to avoid across infection.
The thermometer consists of a shell,an LCD,a measure button,a beeper,an infrared temperature sensor,and a Microprocessor.
The infrared temperature sensor collects infrared energy emitted by the eardrum or the skin surface.After being foucesd by a lens,the energy is converted into a temperature reading by the thermopiles and measurement circuits.
Body Temperature Basics
More than that,the thermometer could be used to measure the body temperature under the armpit,in the mouth,or in the anus.The temperature measure at different parts of body may differ slightly.

The normal body temperature range slightly varies with age and gender.Generally,newborns or children have higher body temperature than adults,and adults have higher body temperature than the elderly.Women’s body temperature are appropriately 0.3℃higher than men’s.

I find this one super easy to use for my toddler who doesn’t want to sit still. I am hoping it’s accurate but definitely gives a quick temp reading which is what I needed!

Doesnât work
It doesnât work. Several different readings in a row and when I change out the battery it continues to tell me the battery is low.Missed the return windowâ¦.

Lens was broken
Received one with a lens crack on sensor.Accuracy i am not to sure on, Either i had 92C or 101C on forehead setting when tested same position without change to distance.Each setting seems to lower or raise the temp by 12C
