The Ostrichpillow Go is more like a pillow neck brace (cervical collar) than a traditional travel pillow.When I first put it on I said to my wife, Iâm sending this back. But she encouraged me to try it for longer. So I did.What I found was the Ostrichpillow is a neck support device thatâs ultra cushioned and soft. It provides support to your whole neck. I positioned myself in several ways and found, after adjusting it, no matter what way my neck drooped or fell, this device held it just right so my neck muscles wouldnât tire and I could feel comfortable enough to doze off.The thing is with these pillows, ya gotta feel comfortable enough so your neck muscles can let go from supporting your head and allow it to comfortably relax which ever way it falls. Including when you droop forward or down. The trick with the Ostrichpillow Go is to fasten the cushion under your chin, then you have the support needed to let go any which way your head decides to fall. At least this is how it has seemingly worked for me. When I purposely put my head to either the left or right (the Ostrichpillow has high cut cushions) it feels like you are laying your head down on a regular pillow in bed. When I nudged my head forward the weight was taken by the front cushioned area that attaches across the front of your neck providing substantial support without feeling like you need to re-adjust. Essentially you can sit upright in a chair and drift off without the need of added support from a wall or chair back and whatever direction your head falls, youâre comfortably supported. It probably looks funny. But thatâs why Iâm stating this is more like a large cushioned cervical collar. I suppose my experience is anecdotal and you can only try it for yourself to know if it would work for you. But aside from having a long sleep in this, it has been an interesting experience and I really like it. My mid afternoon naps have been grand.The only drawback I have experienced is because the sides of this pillow are cut high, they leave little room for my earbuds (AirPods Pro). I manage, but I have to be mindful to push the buds close to my ears and make sure theyâre under the pillow. Itâs doable, but needs a little fiddling.I donât know if this is the most comfortable neck pillow for me. I canât buy them all and try them. Well, with Amazon that may be possible, but after using this for several naps Iâm really liking it now. I donât want to part with it.Recommended

It’s frustrating how Amazon allows sellers to sell dupes – even through the same page as the manufacturer. I ordered this product before I realized that it was from a Chinese seller with terrible reviews. It arrived late and was an obvious dupe for the product (smaller, poorer quality materials and construction, smell). It took almost 2 months to resolve the issue, due to the long shipping time. The seller was non-responsive throughout that time. Thankfully, Amazon did give a full refund and their customer service was helpful. It also looks like they have cleaned this page of resellers – so that is also promisng.In the mean time, I ordered the Ostrichpillow Go from the manufacturer’s website. It arrived in 24 hours and the quality was great. I gave this pillow as a gift, and it is well liked by its recipient. It provides stability around the neck for more a comfortable upright sleeping position. The exterior materials feel nice, and foam interior has a fabric casing too.The 5 star rating is for the authentic product I purchased directly from Ostrichpillow. Otherwise, 1 star for the dupe through Amazon.
Premium Travel Pillow but not for fwd bobbers
Weight of pillow is 15.15oz when in the bag with the included carabiner and overall size is compact at about 5 1/2â all around.The velcro area is sufficiently large (7â) to accommodate different neck sizes and comfort adjustment.The travel pouch is the right size so you are not struggling trying to roll up the pillow and stuffing back into the bag; it also has a nice enough shape when clipped to your luggage.The material is very soft and cool to the touch but the cooling effect doesnât last long.The packaging and unboxing experience is premium quality.If you tend to lean to either side, this is an excellent pillow given its size, weight and premium material; it was very comfortable allowing me to completely relax my neck and get to sleep.My issue is I also bob forward and my chin and cheeks just get all squished while I continue to find myself bobbing front and back; to be fair, this pillow does not claim to address forward bobbing.One con or surprise was that the drawstring broke on first use.Hope this helps!
Almost Great, but Strange Design Decisions
The memory foam is of a good density, the back is thankfully thin enough not to shove your neck forward (I found it worked best when the airplane headrest was adjusted to sit above the pillow, so they don’t add to each other’s thickness on the neck), and the fabric is comfortable.Unfortunately the shape of the pillow is strange and kind of inexplicable. One side is higher, and the other side is thicker. For me, the thick/low side offers zero support for my head, not reaching above my jaw, but the high side is too thin to be supportive and doesn’t spread out weight like the thicker side does. It also doesn’t have an ear cutaway so all the pressure ends up on my lower ear, which is very uncomfortable. I’d recommend making both sides thick and higher, with ear cutouts, to actually support sleeping comfortably on either side.I also find that it would be way more comfortable if it was higher in general, which would allow your head weight to mostly rest on the cheek (like a real pillow) rather than the weight sitting under the jaw (as well as pinching the ear).All this said, I made it work enough on a recent flight to get a little bit of sleep — by turning the pillow upside-down, so that it rested on the high part of the ridges and provided higher support for my face all-around. It still wasn’t as high up my face as I wanted, but I could at least fall asleep eventually, which is more than I can say about most other pillows.One other minor complaint – the pillow can roll up pretty small, but the carry bag is much bigger than necessary, meaning it expands much beyond its minimum and takes up a huge amount of space in my bag.

This pillow is a must for traveling. The thickness and quality are great while the design makes it comfortable and very functional. This pillow holds your head up regardless of looking forward or turning your head to the side. It does come up a little high around the face but is soft and wearable and keeps your mouth from hanging open if you fall asleep! Such a bonus. lol. I like that the cover zips off to wash and it compacts neatly and easily into a small carrying bag. Superior to any travel pillow I have tried.
