Perfect for small puppy!
Worked really well on our 4 mos. old Shih Tzu puppy. Much easier to be precise with these scissors, rather than regular clippers on those tiny toe nails. He barely noticed I clipped 3 paws, but then got fussy, so I wonât push it today. Great purchase!
Great for Dewclaws!
We have had years of frustration trying to trim our dogs dewclaws with traditional dog nail cutters, I finally ordered these as a last resort. They work so well to get around the curve of the dewclaw without forcing the appendage to move at an abnormal angle. Theyâre not the sharpest, and I feel like I will have to replace them often, but for this purpose, theyâre really helpful. Just watch for crumbling or the beginning of splitting nails if the trimmers canât make it through a nail; go back with normal dog nail timers and make sure to get a clean trim on it to avoid infection or nail issues.

Not sharp enough?
When I tried to use them on my cat, it butchered one of his claws since the clipper didnât seems sharp enough. Fortunately I had something to sharpen them so the issue wouldnât happen again, but it was not a pleasant first experience
These clippers are ergonomic and comfortable to hold, and they open and close with ease when in use. I’ve already used these to clip the nails on the most important two (of my six) cats, all by myself, with no problems, mistakes or cutting to close! They’re slightly bulged out on one side to get you closer to the nail & give you a clear view for accuracy, and whether you’re a lefty or a righty (or you use both hands, like me!) you’ll always have an easy time clipping any nails (also ideal for clipping pet birds’ nails!) and you won’t have to worry about needing strength to use these, as these do the job quickly and easily! They are sharp, designed well but they are small. I know itâs for easier maneuvering the small paws but it feels a bit ackward and I donât have big hands. I do like how they cut though
