Good mat for an 8 yr budding scientist
I ordered this for myself and my 8 yr old to use when we do science experiments as they can get quite messy.It works well and the size of right; I do wish the creases would come out entirely but I will try leaving this in the sun for a bit to see if it warms them out.Otherwise though it washes easily and stores compactly in the kitchen so we are really happy with it.

The item itself is quite big and when delivered it was folded multiple times into a small box, so it came with a number of crease marks that cannot disappear.. also not as translucent and on the thicker side
I was worried when this product came shipped in s very small box folded up because I didnât know if the creases would rehab out so that the mat would lay flat. Iâm very please to say that it is laying flat and protecting my surfaces. I donât yet know how stain resistant it is or if once I process turmeric and other vegetables and fruits it will stain. Iâm being very careful, time will tell but I hope it wonât stain because I like having the protection on my island and under my drying track in the kitchen. Itâs semi transient so I can still enjoy the acacia wood and marble print laminate.
it doesn’t lay flat. It is a large mat that I use over my work surface and it holds items in place perfectly, but it is a bit wavy in some areas.
Works great! Flexible, durable enough to use as a shoe mat during snowy and rainy weather. Just be aware that the translucent is white-opaque. You can see through it, but it’s not completely clear.
