So you’ve been invited to your friend’s baby’s 1-year birthday and you have no clue what to get them. What are 1-year-olds into anyways??? TEXTURE, TOUCHING EVERYTHING, FIDDLING WITH LITTLE THINGS AROUND THE HOUSE… Basically, they want to tinker with, and explore, anything they can get their grubby little hands on, ESPECIALLY if mom and dad don’t want them to touch it. This busy board is full of seemingly daring items (from a toddler’s perspective) that are actually super safe and can keep their attention for hours. I got this for my friend’s baby and it came conveniently packaged in a little box, all I had to do was throw on some wrapping paper and stick on a bunch of stickers for extra pizzazz. The little tinkle element of the toy made the unwrapping experience even more fun for the toddler who was then very delighted to scratch at the scaly texture of the fish first thing. Mom and Dad have since told me that their kid has reached for this toy many times and it’s been great as a tool for redirection when he wants to turn off and on all the lamps in the house for the 100th time that day.
Purchased as a car toy
I purchased this for a car toy for my 1.5 year old and 3 year old. Both love different parts of the toy and best part is there’s not electronics on it. Great toy for a large age gap, sturdy and helps improve motor skills. 10/10 recommend.
Love this busy board!
I bought this for my daughter when she was around 6 months old. We both love it! It’s very entertaining. I always make sure to supervise her when she plays with it, though, because she likes to put the dangling bell and beads in her mouth. I’m always a little nervous that the knot will come undone and then the beads could become a choking hazard.

Almost Perfect, But Safety Concerns Hold It Back
I bought the Pithfor Wooden Busy Board for my nephew who just turned one, and I was really impressed with the quality when it arrived. The wood feels sturdy and well-crafted, and itâs filled with interesting activities that caught his attention right away. It seemed like a wonderful gift for stimulating his curiosity and fine motor skills.Unfortunately, after about two weeks, my brother noticed that my nephew managed to pull a small piece off the fish section and put it in his mouth. Luckily, my brother was supervising, so there were no safety issues, but it was a major disappointment for me. Given that this toy is intended for toddlers, I expected all parts to be securely attached. This incident made me worried about its durability and safety, especially for young children who tend to explore with their mouths.Overall, itâs a beautifully made toy, but I would caution parents to check all pieces regularly to ensure theyâre tightly secured. It has potential, but I would love to see improvements in making it even safer for the little ones.
This has been such a great purchase. It is made of good quality materials, it is sturdy, small enough to travel and it is so useful to keep the little one entertained, which is the ultimate goal.
I got this for my daughter when she was about 10 months for a long road trip, sheâs 14 months and it still kept her entertained for almost an hour in the car! The fidget spinner is what she enjoys most but as she gets older she continues to explore new ways to play with it. Itâs sturdy and travels well for road trips. Havenât had to worry about small pieces breaking off either.
Love that this board is portable. Give to my toddler in the car seat and keeps him super entertained. Product is super durable and the price point great as well.
I mean itâs a very cute board. Love the fish with the sequins. The light switch is satisfying and the fidget spinners great. But, the music box is horrifying.I unfortunately have to return it. I originally got this for my dementia client to fiddle with, and her daughter sleeps in the same room as her. I canât imagine waking up in the middle of the night to the sound of this music box. I wonât put her through that. If you donât mind the music box, this is a great board. Really wish they didnât cheap out on that.
Just be careful and watch them while they play with this. My baby liked to chew on the wooden balls but them came off the string. Could be a choking hazard!
