Super dark! I love it!
At first, it looks light but actually does a pretty good job. It also comes with a tape measure so you can easily measure and cut how much you need. Thereâs also more than enough velcro to hold it up. I love how dark my room is now!
Blocks out the light
Itâs perfect, I have a very large window with a narrow area to put up curtains. This covered the whole window, top to bottom and side to side. My room is dark like a cave now! No light getting in at the top or sides unless I want it. I did not cut it as instructed, I installed it as one piece
Good⦠but had a smell
It was big enough that I can cut in 2 pcs and use one for travelling. I suggest airing it out before using in babyâs room

Great they do what their meant for and 3m velcro stickers are great . I take off every morning and stick back up at night ….great cheap way to get sleep without waking up at 5am from the light.

We’ve raised our grandson since he was about a year old and he’s now 18. He suffered a spinal cord injury at 4 years old so it’s really important that he has as normal a life as is possible…especially at his age. We recently fixed up his room making it more appealing for a young man of 18. We’re on a fixed income so finding this inexpensive fabric that totally accommodates his desire for privacy was absolutely perfect! I measured his windows and after I’d installed it, there was only about a 5″ strip leftover (I’m making a great realistic tent with a rain fly for my 1:12 scale dollhouse with thatð)! I placed some velcro strips about halfway up on the inside and the adjoining strips on the bottom so he can partially open it whenever he wants. Also going to put a few on top to open it further. This stuff is great! Thank you!

There are several important points to this review, please read carefully!I live in the Southwest, where we are having temperatures into the 110’s where it will remain throughout the summer. The front of the house where this window faces, is pointed South. I decided to put the adhesive velcro on the wall, not on the actual window or blinds because our window is opened vertically and in the middle there is a raised part, so this would not lie flat. I also know that due to the temps, the adhesive strips may melt on the window and cause damage. So I opted to put them on the painted wall, expecting to have to paint in the future if I ever remove them.That particular room is unbearable in the summer time and I finally had enough. While this is not aesthetically pleasing, I needed it to lower our electric bill and survive the heat in that room. After putting it up, I IMMEDIATELY noticed a difference in temperature and was amazed.Now for the product itself: It is incredibly thin. I questioned it’s effectiveness due to how thin the material is, it’s almost like the material you would use on a sun shade for your car without the wire. One side is reflective, the other is black. It is huge! I had a big open floor space where I laid it out to measure and cut. It came with a measuring tape which was awesome as I couldn’t find my own in that moment. It also has a marker to determine where to cut.It comes with two types of velcro, and I opted for the heavy duty one (black rectangle) to ensure it stays in place as I know I will gladly remove it off and on during monsoon season so I can see out the window. The adhesion is no joke! I have no concerns about it falling off over time.The instructions were visually depicted which I thought was a great bonus.My biggest concern at this time, is that the blinds are on the other side of this material where the reflective side is. I am concerned it may melt them or warp them over time. I am going to keep a close eye on it and may ultimately remove the blinds to keep them safe. Just know that ideally you should put this directly on the window under the blinds according to directions!
We bought this because we liked a similar product thay a friend had (different brand), but we found this product to be poor quality
