After reading a million dresser reviews I finally decided on this one. Reviews were pretty good so I went for it. Not disappointed whatsoever! My 15 year old son built it in 3 hours with zero issues. Seems study and great quality, looks great too! Super happy!
The actual width is not real
I gave it 4 stars in row because the real inside width is actually narrower, they attached 2 panels on each side so make it look wider, I never seen something like that before and I have assembled lots of furniture in my life. Also, the wooden drawerâs side panels are not perfectly cut or maybe the wood had shrinked, because for 2 of the drawers the bottom panel doesnât fall into place and I had to cut the corner and I was able to do that using scissors, was like a cardboard so Iâm assuming wonât hold to much weight in each drawer. Over all is ok for my needs and when I bought it the price was discounted otherwise I wouldnât have paid the full price for it.

Itâs a nice dresser when put together now ever none of the pieces are labeled so putting it together can take forever and involve taking pieces off and putting them back on. It showed up with some chips that the marker wasnât able to get out
It’s takes a wile to build but it’s solid
So took me about 2 hours to put together, just a tip where u think WOOD GLUE would help use it with all flat pack furniture….anyways this thing is solid probly the best flat pack project I’ve put together I used my dewalt impact driver on screw setti g to not over tighten things speed things along alot

I bought this for my Aunt. She needed a TV stand for her new to her assisted apt. she moved into. Her kitchen is so small it only has two burners sink and tiny fridge. No place for tea towels. recipes and all your other paraphernalia. This works fantastic 🙂 She is very happy with it Also I have to say BIG Thank You to UPS. Somehow I had it delivered to my address and not her address. She just lives not far from me. I couldn’t move this myself so I got the men to take it with them while I contacted the UPS centre. Happily they fixed it and they delivered her dresser a couple of day later with no charge to anyone. I am so happy about my purchase. It looks real nice and I am glad UPS was good to me too. Merry Christmas to One and All. 🙂
defective main part
While assembling the dresser I ran into a problem with one of the wooden dowels which was supposed to be placed in the hole provided. Usually the dowel will only go in only so far to provide it from going through to the other side and damaging the finished side. Not this time. The dowel went completely through and damaged the finished side . No point in sending it back since it was 1/4 assembled and boxing it back up would be a nightmare. Since Im a carpenter with various carpentry tools, I tried to fix the hole the best I could, and did the trick, but that ugly spot sticks out like a sore thumb. The dresser will be going in the spare bedroom so the spot won t be noticed. Ive put together about 50 prepac products together over the years and this is the first one to give me a problem. Obviously a defect. This is where the return policy sucks big time. You have to contact prepac for replacement parts. A pain to say the least this time around. Never was able to contact them successfully. However that being said, prepac products do wear well for cheap furniture made out of particle board, so dont expect high quality furniture made of real wood. That will cost you a lot more money. Not a happy consumber with this particular piece.
I feel like I need to clear the air on this product! I put this together rather easily but it is a job and will take a few hours. Some of the reviews on here seem very odd to me as my experience with this Dresser was not problematic at all. The manual is very well done and way better than most especially if you have ever put together IKEA products. This manual makes IKEA manuals look like stone tablets from 2000 B.C. as it is very detailed which is greatly appreciated. I will say that if you are a novice, there may be 1 or 2 things within the assembly manual that aren’t exactly clear and may leave you to leave a piece off or install the drawer rails upside down but if you carefully READ the sentences at the top or bottom of the page, you won’t make a mistake. Don’t just go by the pictures, actually read the instructions! The 2 bottom pieces are interchangeable (clearly stated in the manual) and are different designs. It is your preference of which one to use. The picture shows the plain one in front. I used a more decorative one and will post pictures later. The drawer rail boards that mount to the center piece and have the rails installed on them are clearly stamped L or R (Left or Right) and the rails are clearly marked with DL or DR (Drawer Left or Drawer Right) to avoid any confusion. When it was all said and done, the quality of the wood was actually very study and the black shines greatly once you wipe off the particles that result from packaging. If you are trying to save money, I think you will love this dresser. Try not to be swayed by the reviewers who clearly don’t put together furniture or other items very much. I am an engineer and have assembled many things but even so, I promise this dresser is not hard to assemble if you have patience and read your steps clearly before proceeding. Take your time! There are a lot of fasteners and hardware pieces to use so allow a few hours to do the work. The drawers take the most time but are very sturdy when finished. The camshafts (locked fasteners that look like screws) are color coded to ensure you put the right ones in the correct places. As for missing hardware, I did not experience this but if you buy enough furniture that requires assembly, you will run in to this at least a time or two. This dresser looks amazing when finished especially with the high quality knobs that come with it for the drawers. Now will this dresser stand the test of time? That will remain to be seen but take proper care of it and I think it will last a long time and save you a lot of money!
I am writing this so others can know what I wish I knew before buying this. The negatives: The dresser took over 2 hours to put together with myself and my partner, not 45 minutes as it states. We were missing a screw, so I included the picture of what extra screw youâd need if youâre missing the same one. We were missing a screw for the knob, it is 1 inch in length and the diameter of the head of the screw is a half inch. You could probably get a replacement from your local Loweâs, we just havenât had the chance to yet which is why thereâs a knob missing in my picture. The appearance is okay, as the dresser does show finger smudges very, very easily. Even with it being black which is what I was hoping it would hide. The positives: The depth of the drawers is nice and everything fits nicely. The dresser measurements are accurate. It was pretty easy to move and wasnât too heavy once we got it built. The holes and screws all fit into each other nice. The performance of the dresser is pretty decent, no scratch marks yet and weâve had it for three weeks. For the money itâs a decent dresser, but frustrating to miss a screw and some of the appearance issues. Hope this helps!
I absolutely love this product and hope it will last for many years to come! It says a drill is optional, but I cannot recommend it enough. It’s very heavy and sturdy. My only complaint is that the pieces themselves aren’t labeled with a sticker or anything, so you have to be very careful when reading the instructions to make sure you have the right piece and it’s facing the correct way or you’re going to have a hard time. My spouse and I have built several pieces of furniture together and are no rookies, but with the drill it still took us about 3 hours.We bought the dresser to double as a dresser and changing table for our nursery. It is a little on the short side (spouse in picture is 5’9″ for reference), but I think with the changing pad on it, it’ll be the perfect height for our little one.Rating 4/5 for the not labeled pieces and a couple of typos in the instructions (thankfully, again, not our first rodeo) and will absolutely recommend
Be careful with assembly. If you make a mistake you have to pull apart at least the last four steps, just to fix it, so take your time and pay attention. Especially with the sliders for the drawers. Mine came damaged and I realized it was chipped after I put it together. I guess they thought it would be too much for me to return the entire thing so they just refunded me a part of the money and I kept it. Nice color too.
This dresser is exactly what we want. Simple, slim, and fits under the TV in our bedroom. My husband is very good at putting furniture together, so he leisurely spent a little over 2 hours to assemble it.Unfortunately, there are some damage and missing parts. The company seems to be well equipped to handle product issues. The website, email, and phone number are right on the to of the Assembly Instructions.Issues:1. The corner of the top piece (Part C1) came chipped off. It was damaged when it’s packed – not during shipment – because it’s well protected with thick foam.2. Both furniture legs (Parts C9 & C12) are missing.3. One of the drawer rails were bent crooked on both sides. My husband was able to fix it.4. There’s a small crack on the backer board. Since it’s not load bearing and not visible, so it’s ok.Prepac said they will send out the replacement parts a couple of days after the part request is submitted. I’ll report/reevaluate later.
