Impressive for the price
Good RC toys are expensive, but this one isn’t! It’s not perfect by any means but my daughter loves it! Her brother has a bigger one with a more complex control scheme, but the simplicity of this one makes it perfect for younger ones.It is sturdy enough to be left in the hands of a kid, but I still remind her from time to time: don’t play where adults walk and it should last a long time. She exclusively uses it in the house with a small quantity of kinetic sand so I guess it’s easier on the toy than playing in the sandbox outside!Batteries last long enough but you have to use a screwdriver every time you switch batteries or charge them.

Realistic RC Excavator with Tons of Play Value!
As a mom of three kids (10, 8, and 6), I’m always on the hunt for toys that can keep them entertained, and this remote-controlled excavator did not disappoint! My boys, especially my 8-year-old, couldn’t get enough of digging, scooping, and hauling dirt in our backyard sandbox. The toy comes with two rechargeable batteries for the excavator, which last about 30 minutes each, and AA batteries for the remote, so it’s ready to go right out of the box.The controls are easy to use, and the excavator can rotate, move forward and back, and scoop dirt or sand realistically. While the bucket only moves forward and backward, it was more than enough to keep my kids busy and their imaginations running wild. They even paired it with other construction toys for a mini construction site!The excavator feels sturdy with its rubber tracks and metal bucket, though some parts, like the remote, feel a bit less durable. I appreciate that the sound can be turned off (thankfully!), but swapping batteries does involve a screwdriver, which can be a little annoying. It’s on the smaller side, so it’s great for younger kids but maybe a bit small for older ones.Overall, it’s a fun, engaging toy that’s well-made for the price. My kids had a blast, and I loved that it encouraged imaginative play without needing a screen.

Before I wrote this review, I reviewed the Product Description, and I have to say it is pretty accurate. Many of these types of toys have pictures for them that make them look much bigger than they are, and they don’t even include the actual measurements. The description for this toy is honest, and the main point I’m making is that it is smaller than I was expecting it to be, but you can see this for yourself on one of the pictures. So, once I got past the small size of the toy, I started playing with it and found it to be pretty cool.The excavator moves forwards and backwards, and when it goes backwards it makes the common beeping sound that trucks make when backing up in real life. It also makes some other general ‘construction noise’, which is a bit odd, like a gritty gear turning type of sound, but the good thing is that you can turn off all sounds with the push of a button on the remote. The cab of the excavator also rotates around, and like the product description says, it can go ‘680 degrees’…What they mean is that you push a button, and the cab rotates around ALMOST twice, until it gets to a point where it stops and then makes this sort of clicking sound that tells you it won’t go any further. It does this either way you rotate it. The claw of the excavator extends and retracts, in the motion needed to scoop up something and then the opposite way to drop it, with the push of 2 different buttons. Overall, all of the controls are very simple and easy to operate.The excavator IS smaller than I was expecting, but they do clearly advertise this if you look at one of the pictures, and it does work well, so for the most part it is a cool toy at a decent price of $25. The reason I took off a Star is because the cab of the excavator is solid enough, and the claw and bucket are adequate, but for some reason the tracks don’t seem to be of the same quality as the rest of it and feel a bit flimsy/cheap, and I’d worry that they won’t last as long as the rest of the parts.

This RC excavator toy looks like an exciting choice for kids who love construction vehicles! The 680-degree rotation and realistic movements make it super fun to operate.
