I got this for my (80 year old) parents, and they enjoyed this as a project they worked on together. I subsequently got the same thing as a gift, and had a great time putting this together. This was my first entry into these types of wooden puzzles, and I have since done a few more. This is a good starter one, as long as your someone who reads instructions carefully.Only complaint: the stickers at the end is kind of an annoying process. Wish there was a way this portion could have been done in wood instead.
This is a very cool and intricate puzzle kit. My husband and I enjoyed building it together. I punched out and passed him the pieces and he assembled them. It took us about three hours and it was so fun seeing a 3D project emerge from a bunch of flat bits! All of the pieces are clearly labeled and the instructions are very easy to follow. There were no moments of confusion and no lost pieces (although I highly recommend assembling over a tray or a clean flat surface where you can easily spot tiny dropped segments of balsa wood that may land with their dark brown or pale tan side facing up). The wood is thick enough to be handled without breaking and the pieces are cut/perforated enough that you can punch them out easily (with little force) without damaging them. A few of our map pieces had a splinter pull off of the front/face, but those flaws are not noticeable unless you know they exist and really look hard for them. The kit comes with a small square of sandpaper for removing any burrs or snags on the edges when you pop the pieces from the sheets and it works very well; only takes a couple of gentle swipes to get it smooth.If I saw this finished globe in a specialty toy store, I would be more than willing to pay the $24 listing price. The fact that you get an enjoyable activity (build-it-yourself) AND the finished product for that price, is even better!

Weâre thrilled with the final result, and he proudly displays it in his room – itâs such a great accomplishment that I wouldnât mind showcasing in the main part of the house!The quality of the pieces is excellent, with everything clearly labeled for ease of use. The instructions are straightforward and easy to follow, making the process enjoyable from start to finish. I would definitely consider purchasing more from this brand in the future and highly recommend their products.
