Great Value – Works Perfectly
Likes: Not bulky, easy to install with our without screws, after 2 weeks adhesion is still strong, keeps door open just enough for cat to get through and can be adjusted if needed.Dislikes: A bit difficult to open with one hand as the part to press is quite small, a bit difficult to close since it’s two parts that fit together..you really need two hands to close it.I’m giving this 4.5 stars because it’s aImost perfect and I’ve tried a lot of these! Some allow the door to open, but they don’t keep it open because they are made of a flexible strap, not a solid arm. The best one I’ve come across is Doorwing but they’re not selling on Amazon anymore. Purchased this one and am very happy so purchased another one as well. If it clasped onto the door instead of using adhesive or screws it would be pretty much perfect. I would recommend.
DOES WHAT ITS SUPPOSED TO – a perfect product
It is now installed to keep my 3 dogs out of the cat food and litter in the bathroom. I have metal trim so need a friend to drill a hole for the screws. Very nice product.UPDATE! It is amazing. Easy to install. SO easy for grown humans to open and close the door. I have not put all of the screws in as I have some metal trim on one side but it has completely discouraged the dogs from trying to get in. The adhesive IS very strong. I have it on the second width for the open, not the last one which opens it the most and my cats can get in and out like a breeze. Two are muscular and a bit larger and still have no problem.I dont’ know how long this product has been on the market but I wish I had had it years ago instead of the clumsy heavy gate with a hole in it that we made of plywood.It is one piece as well so it is tidy and attractive.I fully recommend this product.

This is exactly what I needed! I have a door that opens outward and tends to be pushed closed (rather than other products which are meant for doors that open inward). I needed something to keep the door open a few inches for my cat to be able to access his litterbox in the basement!This installed easily and keeps the door open and out of the way so the cat can get through, but it doesn’t bother people walking by. Awesome device!
Not worth the price
The latch part isn’t quite long enough to allow a larger cat to fit through comfortably. For the price, this piece of plastic isn’t worth the expense. Without screwing it in, a larger dog will rip this right off the door with one push.
Sturdy and easy to install
I chose to put the screws in too but it has a very strong adhesive and makes for easy kitty access! Super glad I bought this instead of a gate. My cat and come and go as she needs and it keeps my toddler out.

My cats litter box is in the basement and we used to keep the door slightly ajar for him to enter whenever he wants. It worked until we got our rescue. He likes to pee on the litter box and bag. For like 2 years I was struggling to get people to close the basement door, train my dog to stay away (he pees to mark his territory its makes him feel more secure because he’s got anxiety) and straight up walking my cat to pee. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve walked my cat to pee at 1 am and found dog pee and had to do the whole song and dance of throw out cat litter, wash box, double mop area then wash the mop to make sure smell doesn’t stick. I was going nuts. Then I got this little thing and it literally solved the problem immediately. It holds the basement door open enough that only my cat can get through and it’s easy enough to unlatch. I can’t belive it took me so long to check amazon.
We bought this for our door to the basement. It needed to stay opened so our cats have access to their litter box, but closed so the baby doesn’t fall down the stairs. It works perfectly. I was a little nervous about our fat cat fitting. She slips right through. It was easy to install, and is secure even without the screws.

The sticky pads are very strong and works as advertised. We popped ours on the top of the door so it doesnât get in the way. The item is also adjustable so the gap in the door can be wide enough to let the cat in but keep the dog out.
