For messy kids who try to unbuckle themself
This high chair offers a padding for comfort for your child, which is appreciate. It is made of a sealed plastic which help you to clean it with ease.The buckles are pretty tight, which could be a negative or a positive depending on your childs dexterity with these. If your child is not known to try to slip out or unbuckle himself, you will feel that these buckles are hard to work with. In the opposite approach, if your child is known to move a lot and being an expert at unbuckling himself, this is the perfect chair.The tray is under the same idea for the buckles. It can be hard to work with it. Again, this makes it safer for your child since he will not be able to remove it or hit it away.This product was made for highly active childs or children that needs to be well attached and within a safe environment. Which it accomplish with great success.My only critic is for the bottom of each legs of the chair. If your floors is a bit off (my floors are made of old hardwood) the chair will feel a bit un-even.All in all, this chair was made for safety. It has stronger buckles, more sturdy attachement for the tray, and it is made to be clean easily. If you are scared or if you need extra safety for your child, I believe this is a product for you. If your child does not need special care, this chair may be more a bother.
Tripping hazard, inconvenient harness
Plastic so easy to clean if donât use the pad provided, if you use the pad have to remove each strap individually to clean which is timely. Not end of world but holds food under the pad and gets gross. Legs are very hazardous as they go out in every direction and not sturdy. Every single person trips on them including me everyday.
Simple and easy to clean
I find this high chair great. Easy to clean, the chair and cover wipe down well. I pop the cover and straps in the wash once a week or so and hang it to dry, all comes clean like new and we’ve had it for a few months. Lightweight and sturdy, super easy to assemble. Our baby is very petite, but she sits well in the chair. We used to pop a small towel behind the cover sometimes for a bit of extra support since she’s so tiny and that worked great.
Dangerous baby chair
A disgusting children’s chair that is dangerous for a child’s life, as an engineer,I donât understand how it was possible to design a chair so illiterately, especially if it is children’s furniture and all small details must be taken into account for the safety of the child. My daughter was sitting quietly and eating, when suddenly the front legs just fell off the chair and she fell and hit her forehead on the table and hurt her forehead very badly and a huge hematoma and bump appeared and this is not the first time his legs fall. I think that such products should be discontinued altogether, do not buy this high chair, it is better to spend more money, but your child will be safe and nothing will suddenly happen to him.
Looks nice, but has sharp buckles
We chose this high chair mainly because it fits with the design of our dining room, and it works well in that regard. However, after putting our baby in it and moving the buckles to get him safely done up, he ended up with an inch long cut on the back of his leg. We noticed after that that the edges of the buckles are actually quite sharp. We will be sanding these down, and using a lot of caution when putting our baby in. We are disappointed that this high chair isnât as baby-friendly as we had hoped it would be.
Sturdy high chair
This Safety 1st Avista High Chair was very easy to assemble as it comes with straightforward instructions with pictures for greater clarity. It took about 15 minutes to put together and you only need a screw driver (not included in package) for the foot rest which has two screws (one on each side).The chair is sturdy and the tray has adjustment levels so it accommodates a growing child. I like the overall look of the chair. I only wish the padding insert was cushier or more padded. Iâm very pleased with the quality of this high chair.
Great chair, difficult to buckle
This chair is great and checks all the boxes really, except that the buckled are extremely finicky and our baby gets fed up before we get her into the chair and is upset until we calm her down again to eat. She also slips down before we can get the tray slid into the proper placement for her.
