Best ones Iâve seen/ used for these types of handles. Easy to install and is durable
Does the trick!
We have two of these to stop the toddlers from opening the doors and walking out of the designated rooms. Easy to install and if locked from the inside you can still open the door from the other side with a little bit of force.

Look online to get better instructions. To install this lock you will need to take your door handle off and then reinstall it so be ware. This prevents our son from open the door. Make sure you do not have a circular door knob but a lever door knob as this will not work on round door handles.
Install upside down! Works perfectly
I installed this upside down on the door handle and it works perfectly! My toddler canât open the lock. I didnât want to buy the sticky child locks as they ruin the walls/doors in my experience.
My less than 1yo baby can pull the lock open
First, this was not all that easy to install. You have to remove the door handles and if I had wanted to do that for several doors, I would have quickly gotten annoyed. But if it had worked, even with the difficult installation, I would have given it 3 or 4 stars. The main problem is that I have a tall 11-months-old who can open doors and this lock is not strong enough to stop him from continuing doing just that. I’m not talking about a toddler, my son isn’t even one year old and if he grabs the handle and puts his weight behind his strength, he can unlock the safety and open the door.I do not recommend this product at all.
Lock opened by toddler minutes after installation…
This item arrived quickly and was exactly as described on Amazon. Easy to install and use however, due to our door hardware, we installed without using the inner plastic template (it didn’t fit inside our particular handle). This is no big deal and does not affect the installation or operation of the product so don’t let it deter you. The drawback… We will be unable to use the lock for our son. He is a tall, strong 18 month old and was able to forcefully open the lock with one pull minutes after I had installed it. The instructions do say that if the lock is engaged and a person (adult) needs to open the door from the opposite side then a forceful pull will disengage the lock. Honestly, my son did it quite quickly. Yes, he’s strong but at 18 months his tug was enough. Concept is good but not enough to prevent opening. Looks like we’ll be going with something out of reach instead.
Perfect
Love them. Easy to install. No damage to door. Easy to remove. Can be opened from inside if accidentally locked in.
Works
Does what I needed it to do. Happy with it.
Tienes que desarmar la chapa para poderlo instalar
Don’t buy this product without measuring the back plate of your current door handle. After fitting this product correctly, it became clear that the main mechanism simply pops off with no real pressure applied. It’s not secured against the door in any way. There is a ring which your door fitting screws through, but the main locking mechanism simply clicks onto the ring (and off, as I’ve found!)
Cheap! And it works well. Do note you need to have this particukar type of door handle as shown in product picture.
I love these. We started with one for our hall closet door, then purchased another for our daughter’s closet door, and now a third for our son’s closet door (to keep his sister out!). Since we only use these for closet doors we don’t have to worry about getting locked on one side. For the door leading down the stairs to our garage, which we needed to work from both sides, we got the Child Proof Deluxe Door Top Lock by Safety Innovations and that product has worked great for that use, so I would recommend that type of lock for doors that need to be locked/unlocked from both sides. That being said I love these locks for our closet doors, we haven’t had any problems and they go on easily, installing without extra screws or tape, they fit behind the handle and use the existing handle screws. My now 3 1/2 year old has not been able to figure out the lock and they’ve held up to her pulling and yanking. Yes they do have to be manually locked but once you get in the habit it becomes just that, a habit. I don’t mind the extra two seconds of work if it keeps my daughter from pulling out all her clothes and spreading them across the room. Great childproofing product!
These are easy to install and work great o keep busy toddlers from where they should not be. My son is usually good at figuring out child proof devices and he has yet to crack this one. It makes me feel much safer having these so he does not get into the rooms that are not baby proofed. We have an open concept house and so he can run around everywhere and it is not always possible to be directly behind him but with this I know that at least he cannot get into the study where he could hurt himself or easily break something. Also it is easy enough for an adult to operate it without too much hassle.
