Really great set
Wasn’t sure how this one would turn out but its a fantastics build and zero quality issues. Pieces fit great, the finished product exceeded expectations. Aside from the build quality, the design on this one was really cool as well. We didnt notice in the pictures but the base is shaped like a book and it looks like its jumping off the page once completed. Very sturdy once completed, doesn’t seem like it will fall apart if touched. Buy with confidence. Bought for my teenage son, he loves it.

Sometimes the pieces need a little extra work to assemble properly. This is a HUGE set with a ton of pieces. Much cheaper than standard Lego, but sometimes things don’t click in rght

I’m going to go ahead and say it, this is a first class set and better than the name brand we all know and love.These pieces look great! All came without deformaties. The pieces almost slide together while holding together tight. They most certainly fit together with a different and better feel compared to name brand. The colour is consistent throughout. The colour differentiation is noticeable in the instructions between shades of the same colour. I attached a picture that shows different shades of brown. They are similar, but noticeably different in the instructions.The instructions are very clear. I do a lot of building block sets, both name brand and off brand. I build with micro blocks, mini blocks, standard blocks, and even jumbo blocks. If you have ever done off brand block sets before, you know they use all sorts of weird shaped pieces so they can bridge over gaps in layers to use the smallest amount of blocks possible. This leads to fragile models at the end and especially while building. This is NOT that. This is a solid build. It looks great. Due to the nature of how the work is constructed, it is a bit fragile, but it is a lot of weight on a few connections so you can get that curve. It’s really quite neat how it’s constructed. I have gotten nothing but complements and expressions of jealousy about it. I cannot say enough good things about this.The instruction booklet is divided into 4 sections and the bags are all labelled 1-4. This is where my one complaint comes in. In order to make it through step 5 in any given section, you have to open every single bag for that section. There are like 8 bags per section. That’s a guess, I didn’t count the bags. But I had pieces everywhere. This is a problem I have consistently throughout every building block set that divides pieces into multiple bags that I have ever done. You find the same issue with name brand and non-name brand.Something you don’t find with any other set, name brand or no, this set came with three bags of extra pieces. There was at least one extra piece for every piece used in this set. Absolutely amazing! I am now a life-long subscriber to this brand. There are the little rod pieces used in this set. I had one that was broken, but it wasn’t an issue because there were spares. Aside from 3 bags of extra pieces, each section of bags (1-4) also had extra pieces. There is no way you will not have all the pieces you need.If I haven’t made it clear, let me do so. I do A LOT of sets from all different sources. This set took me a while to build. Despite the very clear instructions this build is difficult due to the way the sandworm is constructed. This would be frustrating for beginners, but still very doable. Be sure to press the black round pieces on the rods over the black inserts they butt against. This will keep the worm straight and alleviate any layering issues.This set was very enjoyable and satisfying.
