Need to know how to use
It does work, but is a bit more tricky than the older mercury ones. Also I find under the tongue works, but not under the armpit so far. . I have it as a backup because if batteries fail, that’s not good. You must flick it down,l. It’s harder to read, but look at it straight on the slowly tilt the top towards you, bottom away. It’ll look a little like a mirrored surface flickering. Once you get it, it’s easy, just have a bit of patience.
Thermometer is okay if you know how to use it.
This thermometer needs to have the liquid inside flicked or “shaken” down to the bottom, each time, before you can take an accurate temperature. I didn’t know that (it’s not common knowledge, and there’s nothing of that in the instructions I received). I returned it. But I should think it’s fine, if you know what to do.I prefer this manual type… compared to digital ones which are sooo inaccurate!
Perfect pandemic Thermometer
Love this thermometer and I love that it does not require batteries or electricity! Read the instructions to learn how to bring the mercury level down before using it. Otherwise we love it in our household and have used it without any issues since the day we bought it.
Finally I found a good termometer
I like manual termometers they are more accurate. Put under your armpit and wait 5 minutes to read.
It was junk.
It could not be shaken down. It was a waste of money. I was totally unmpressed. I would like refdun but have no idea how to proceed.
Not sure how it works
No English instructions accompanied our package… the thermometer seems to be working if put under arm fir 5 min but who wants that?!
