I recently purchased this Sensory Toy for my friend’s son for his 4th birthday as a gift, and he liked it a lot. He has endless fun playing with it. This sensory toy is not only made of durable quality materials but also offers a wide array of engaging activities for kids.One of the standout features of this sensory bin is its versatility. Whether it’s the wet and dry textures or the various shapes and weights, this set provides an immersive sensory experience for children, especially those who are neurodivergent. While there are some minor drawbacks, such as the low sides of the bin and the limited reusability of certain items, they don’t overshadow the overall enjoyment this set brings.In conclusion, I highly recommend the Sensory Bin for parents looking to provide their children with hours of interactive play. Despite a few minor flaws, the quality and variety of activities make it well worth the investment. It’s not just a toy; it’s an immersive learning experience that kids will love to revisit time and time again.
Lovely Toy but Not Much Sand
Initially I was enchanted by the concept of this toy. Every child loves being on a tropical beach playing in the sand and the water, me included. What a great mental break from being stuck indoors when itâs frozen outside. The wide assortment of little toys are very cute and the sensory sand sculpts much better than real sand. The colours are beautiful. Everything taken all together makes the imagination run off in so many different directions. I could see a toddler engaged with this toy for hours at a time. The box keeps your entire adventure waiting for you in one place.However, Iâm not happy with the quantity of sand that is included. Based on the sellerâs photos, I expected 3-4 times as much sand as there was in the wee bag that arrived. I also have no clue why the seller says that this is an environmentally friendly toy. I can tell you that it most certainly is not. Those two missteps will cost them 2.5 stars.At some point, maybe even the day it arrives, there will not be enough clean sand to make this toy function as it should. When that happens, Iâd try out as many home-made play dough recipes as it takes to find as good a replacement as possible. The right recipe will feel more luxurious and smell better than the commercially prepared product. Sensory sand is available by the pound but it is very expensive.The current price is unavailable so I can’t determine if what you’ll pay will make this toy good value for you or not.
Amazing sensory bin for kids
This is such a good sensory toy for toddlers/preschoolers. The box itself is a great size to use as a sensory bin. The items that come in it are all really great; some dinosaur eggs, shells, dinosaur moulds, magnetic fish and fishing rod. It also comes with a package of kinetic sand (so much easier to clean up than regular sand). Love that the box can be sealed closed, making storage of the items so much easier. We have used this so much already both with the items it came with and also using the box with our own sensory items. I know that my kids will have years of enjoyment out of this. It would make a fantastic birthday or Christmas gift for kids.
Beach day in a bin
This is a fun toy for older toddlers. It’s worth noting that there are definitely choking hazards in this so you want to have constant supervision for younger kids/kids that like to explore things with their mouth.Pros:-It is well packaged and easy to store for using many times-Tons of different shapes, textures, weights for kids to explore-Sand is soft and moldable-The fishing game is very fun. Toddler had a fishing game that wasn’t magnetic which wasn’t that fun because you had to press the rod into the items to catch them. The magnetic game is way more fun and holds attention longer.-Great way to keep kids entertained for a long time with the many different ways they can play with the setCons:-The bin could be taller, the water and sand will definitely end up on the floor-Due to the smaller size, probably only 1 child can play at a time-There is some limitations to how many times it can be reused. The sand will get mixed in with the water/fall out and eventually you will run out. And the eggs will only “hatch” once. These eggs remind me of the ones they used to have at the dollar store that had the slimy dinosaurs that would grow in water. (These are one of the choking hazards). But we don’t plan to use the eggs.All in all, I do recommend this toy. It would also make a great birthday gift.
Surprisingly Good Quality
My 3 year old daughter loves playing with sensory bins. My go to is the kinetic sand style as it is not too messy. Sometimes the sand is thin and too runny, but this stuff feels thick, sticks nicely, but always can run through your fingers when shaken a bit. I’ve left a bit out in the sun when trying to dry some toys, and the sand didn’t dry out. It is nice to have the water bin right beside it as it gives two different sensory options. The sand doesn’t get ruined when mixed with the water and is easy to strain out. Mind you, we didn’t mix a lot of sand, just from what accidently got into the bin.
Very fun sensory toy for young kids
We love this. It comes with a fantastic assortment of items to play with from the sand to the molds to the fun rocks and other toys.Pros:- great assortment of items included for good sensory play- good enough quality for kids to play with- fine motor galore with the various textures and objectsCons:- can get messy when using water, have a safe play area where things can get sandy and/or wet- limited re-usability, only because if things mix (and they always do with experimental kids) you will inevitably need to buy more sand and give things a washGiven the cons I’d still give this 5 stars, our 3yo daughter has loved playing with this on the colder winter days we’ve had lately.
This is an awesome sensory box and so realistic. The dino eggs crack like real eggs! The sand is kinetic sand, soft, and resembles real sand. My 4yo loves it ð
my 3 year old and one year old daughters love it. i do have to keep a close eye just so none of it goes into their mouths but they love digging around looking for all the hidden treasures i put into the sand part then they put over in the water to wash off what’s left of the sand . my 3 year old really likes trying to do fishing with the small pole and the little fishes it comes with, the magnets in the fish and the end of the pole make it a little easier than the ones that usually have the plastic hook and hole on the fish. the sand is really soft, fine grated so they love even just putting their hands into the sand alone and squishing around in it. all the toys and accessories fit nicely in the bin that it comes with for easy storage when your done playing and the handles are great for when you need to move it too. id say it is a great product for kids they absolutely love it and my kids spend hours playing with all of it, it has tons of little things included in it everything in great condition and cool playful colors
This awesome bin comes with seashells, sand, Dinoâs, Dino eggs, Little Rockâs, and blue pebbles. It also comes with magnetic fishies with a fish pole. The sand feels like kinetic sand. Keeps my 2 year old entertained. Only thing I donât like is that the sand has a strong odor, smells like Elmerâs glue
