Great for early postpartum
These were great the first week or two after giving birth, my baby didnât latch well at first and these really helped me keep going with breast feeding. I expressed a little bit of breast milk into them and wore them in between feeds, make sure you wear breast pads and probably not best to wear them at night as they can leak or pinch when laying down. I also accidentally bent one of the covers while cleaning it so be careful when handling them as they can bend easily.

I wish I had bought these years ago with my first baby since they were an absolute life saver for my second. Those first few weeks breastfeeding with a newborn are the absolute worst and these things are magic!!! With my first I used a lot of different nipple creams (lanolin, earth mama, etc) but still had cracked bleeding nipples. I started using these with my second as soon as I started breastfeeding and they worked so well. I never had any bleeding and i didnât use any cream, just leaked a little breast milk in them and placed them on tucked into a nursing bra and let them work their magic.

I wish I had had these when I had my first child. I donât know the science behind it or why they work, but theyâre like magic. They heal cracked and sore nipples so quickly, therefore helping to relieve pain quicker than anything else Iâve tried. Super easy to use. Would 100% recommend to any newly nursing mother! Iâm not at this phase yet, but I imagine when littles get teeth and there is the occasional bite, these would work great for that as well.

i had cracked, blistered, sore, bleeding nips for 8 weeks. i tried everything (creams, balms, salt water rinse) and nothing helped. i was in pain. doctors said it shouldnât hurt but it did! a lot! (no ties or latch issues).i read about silverettes on reddit and was doubtful because they are just little silver cups, right? if prescription nipple ointment didnât help, i didnât think these could. i put off purchasing them until i literally could not concentrate or talk while breastfeeding because of the pain.i finally ordered them and although they are a little pricey i would have paid almost anything for pain relief. i was almost ready to give up breastfeeding.they are a little awkward to wear, and you definitely can see them through a padded bra with a tight shirt but they helped me immensely.within 2 days i could feel an improvement with pain. within one week i noticed my nips starting to heal.it has now been 4 weeks and my LO can latch without causing me pain. i can shower and dry off myself without the fear iâll accidentally touch my nips with the towel.i still have some bad days when cluster feeding but silverettes are worth it. if you can relate at all, buy them. they saved my breastfeeding journey.
I donât know what kind of magic these are infused with but they work great! I have been wearing them religiously any time I am not nursing and I am sure they have made such a difference in my healing. I am only ten days postpartum and I donât have any cracking or bleeding anymore. I ordered them on the way home from the hospital and they couldnât have come at a better time. I was so sore and felt so overwhelmed and the relief was immediate. I wear them under my nursing pads and when my baby is ready to nurse I take them off, wipe them with a burp cloth and set aside until we are done. I wouldnât wear them out but I donât foresee needing them much past the first two months or so anyways but I bet they will come in handy when he starts teething. I would definitely gift these or recommend them to other new moms!

Dented product received. Looks like not new one
With my first child, I stopped breastfeeding at 12 weeks because the little monster absolutely shredded my poor nipples. No amount of lanolin worked! Once they were cracked and bleeding, there was no saving them or my breastfeeding journey.This time around, I was determined to try breastfeeding again. I re-read all of the information and stocked up on more lanolin…only to start experiencing the worst pain just 2 weeks in.It only took a quick Google search to find these little beauties…but I was sceptical!I asked my midwife if she knew of anything that could relieve the pain and she warily, but excitedly, told me about these silver cups. Excited because studies it had been proven that they work. Wary because they cannot recommend them to parents as the cost is not achievable for everyone.Damn! The cost wasn’t achievable for me!! But I thought I’d treat myself and my boobs and boy, are we so happy we did!I ordered these in the morning and received them the same day in the evening. Whacked them into my bra straight away and no word of a lie, by the time my little milkaholic was ready for her feed the next morning – the pain was gone! No tenderness, stinging, sharp pains.
