Fantastic Deal. I paid only $28 or so but would have paid more. The quality of this protector is top notch and I have purchased ones before of equivalent quality for around $125. Not only is the quality a 10/10 but it arrived at my door less than 24 hours after I purchased it. No, I have seen others mention throwing it in the dryer. I personally would not advise such. In fact i would just hand wash it. Easy to do but you rarely need to do that. Every bed should have one, especially if you have purchased a new mattress and wish to protect it but I immediately replaced my old ones at this price on older beds. I recognized what a great deal it really was. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy again from this seller.I had someone send me a question I could not respond to due to their full mail box both beds but both my beds I purchased these for are $2,000 Sleep Country Pillow tops so that should tell you how thick they are. 12″ – 14″ I am not sure exactly but suffice to say, it was neither too loose, nor too tight. The elastic on it is firm enough that it makes it sit properly without dropping down. Again, I have bought such covers before for $120 at Eatons, Bay, Simpsons, etc and this is the same quality. I am not a Walmart shopper where you give up quality for price. This product is equal to all other expensive ones I have purchased in the past, which is why i jumped on the deal.EDIT FEB 24th 2015: I have been asked a few times if this is noisy. No, not at all. Does it get hot? NO, not at all. It has a netting of some sort all around it, where it naturally tucks into your mattress. The top is a lightly rubberized piece but in no way will you be hot, nor not be able to breathe. I’m a natural furnace when I sleep LOL..IF ANYONE needs cooling down its me. I MUST have a cool bed and spend money for the coolest Egyptian sheets and mattress protectors otherwise I would suffe and I don’t, not one bit with this one. This in no way makes it hot. You won’t even notice it or hear it but know its protecting your bed. I have never seen one made of better quality than this one. I have bought them in the past of the very same quality and material for over $120. This is NOT one of those cheap ones that are plastic and you perspire because it won’t let your body breathe. Your sleep on this will not in any way be affected. This deal is so good, I almost bought 2 extra figuring Id never find it again at this price but it will likely outlive me so I quickly realized what a dumb idea it would be to buy extra ones BUT, thats how good the deal is, knowing the quality and what this would normally sell for at any bath/bed store. This is a good mattress pad considering it’s waterproof and therefore has to be a bit plastic-y. It feels quite crinkly in your hand, but once it’s on the mattress I don’t notice any crinkle or stiffness. With sheets over it, it still feels a bit harder or smoother than if the sheet was on the mattress alone, but overall it’s an excellent trade-off for the kind of protection it offers. I haven’t washed it yet, so I can’t comment on how it holds up to washing/ drying.

Nearly Noisless, Very Comfortable
Though I admittedly haven’t risked my expensive new bed to see if this product works as advertised, I did do some research and watched some YouTube demonstrations before making my purchase.When doing my research, I came across many claims that similar products produce noise. Some very noisy and others not so much. It has to do with the material on the underside of the mattress protector that actually keeps the allergens, liquids, etc… from seeping through and into your mattress. I ordered a full/double sized mattress protector and it wraps around my very thick mattress with room to spare for an even thicker mattress. So far, it’s done it’s job and is very comfortable to lay on.The top is made of terry-cloth and feels like a bath towel but you’ll hardly notice it once you put a sheet over top. I haven’t had any comfort or noise issues when I sleep.Definitely worth the buy and it’s cheaper than most retail options. When I bought my mattress, the retailer attempted to sell me a much more expensive mattress protector that after buying this one, I determined to be practically the same product but from a different brand. They feel the same and perform the same task, only this one was half the price.Keep in mind though, that the 15 year warranty that is advertised on this product only covers your mattress if this product is purchased on the same invoice as the mattress. Not doing so will void the warranty. I haven’t spoken to anyone at the company to see if the product itself is still covered under the 15 year warranty but the wording of the terms is quite confusing. It makes mention of the warranty covering the mattress but doesn’t clarify if that also voids the warranty of the product itself.I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking to extend the life of their mattress or to protect their mattress warranty.

What an excellent product and an equally excellent buy!We just purchased a new King size mattress, and I think I’ve researched mattress protectors as much as the mattress itself. The product name is a bit vague. This is not an encasement, it is a cover, like a basic mattress pad. Unlike allergy mattress encasements that go all the way around the mattress/box spring and have a secure zipper closure, this cover fits only over the top and corners, just like a mattress pad would. Having said that, it does have an absorbent quality on top (to the touch it feels like a soft towel) and the corners fit over a very deep mattress, which is nice. The corners are also not an allergy-proof material of any kind. Like a normal mattress pad, the corners are a shear, stretchy, netting material. So basically, in terms of allergy protection/bed bug barriers just think of this more as laying a piece of material on top of your bed and then placing your sheets over it like normal. They are high quality (as they should be for the price I paid) but since I bought them to protect my bed from me and me from it, I believe my money would have been better spent elsewhere.Update: Not more than 2 days after I wrote my original review I spilled a HUGE cup of bright red fruit punch all over my bed by mistake- 52 ounces to be specific. The sheets and blanket went into the washing machine immediately as I kept stripping the bed as fast as I could. In all fairness, I do have a total allergy encasement protector over my mattress UNDER this mattress pad and that probably would have prevented the punch from getting to and staining the mattress IF it had even gotten to the allergy encasement but there wasn’t so much as a drop- not damp- not pink- NOTHING!I stand by my review in terms of this being a mattress pad and not a full-allergy protection piece HOWEVER, this is one WONDERFULLY absorbent mattress pad. When my cup spilled all 52 ounces, of course, basically all pooled to the center of the bed where I had been lounging. All 52 ounces ended up staining (temporarily, until it was washed) an area only about one foot wide and 2 feet long- that’s a lot of liquid in a very small area and yet, this mattress pad contained it all, which is very good since this kind of punch is known for its ability to stain. In fact, I was barefoot at the time that I spilled my drink everywhere and even after a shower the bottoms of my feet and cuticles were still a bit tinted but my mattress and it’s encasement were perfectly fine and totally dry so my review is now going to 5 stars for this product’s absorbency.

I have female specific medical issues. This has held up well, is simple to wash, and is easy to put back on mybed, unlike my Allerease brand encasement. I have to admit, I wasn’t sure if Sleeptite would hold up due to issues with other brands of similar design. As a result, I tested this first by putting it over my trusted Allerease Maximum mattress encasement. Notably, I inherited a queen-sized Sleeptite from my mom, so I had nothing to lose other then potentially washing more laundry. As fortune would have it, nothing reached my Allerease encasement. Impressed, I bought one here from Amazon for a different size bed I have (my twinbed). I feel secure and am happy to have something that is less of a pain to get on my bed.
