Reviews

  1. Worth the price
This is by far our most valued travel item with baby! It was worth it after just one night. Baby loves it and sleeps super soundly in it as well.

  2. Worth every Penny
We recently travelled and stayed in a hotel with our 4 month old, we put her to sleep in her pack n play inside the slumber pod and she slept so well. We were able to turn the lights back on in the room and she was not disturbed

  3. A Game Changer
I bought this for my 11 month granddaughter (at her mother’s request in anticipation of visiting me and summer adventures). They recently visited me (from out of town) and I was delighted that she not only fell asleep immediately, but that she slept soundly all three nights. During her naps they could see her (on the monitor) wake up, sit up, see that it was dark and go back to sleep. 😊

  4. Game changer for travelling with an infant
Fits in a suitcase and over Maxi Cosa Play pen, Blacks out for infant to sleep, fan ensures good air flow and temperature control. Very easy to set-up.

  5. Buy this.
If you have a baby who has a hard time falling asleep in different environments or maybe if it’s too light outside in the summer, GET THIS! A huge game changer for traveling with my 14mo he gets great sleep and so do we. Worth the cost!

  6. DOES NOT COME W/ FAN
Great product over all, very useful but I paid $30 more because the ad shows a fan beside it.It arrived just before our trip (literally the delivery person showed up as we were heading out the door) so I didn’t open it until we were in the hotel and was very disappointed to see it was an extra $30 to have a fan pocket, where one would go if you decided to buy one.

  7. Great for room sharing
Our house is smaller, so we share our primary room with baby. She is in a mini crib and this fits right over so she has her own space and I can scroll while she sleeps. She seems to like hiw cozy it is. She falls right to sleep.

  8. Great travelling option!
The slumberpod is so helpful for travelling when we are sharing a room. We have the fan, sound machine and camera all set up in the areas provided at the top so baby has their own sleep bubble and isn’t disturbed when we go to bed later on. The fan is key and has 3 levels, so I would use it even when it wasn’t hot for more airflow. The fabric is really soft and is effective at keeping inside the playpen dark.

  9. We bought this for a trip we took with our 14 month old, where we had to share a room. The pod allowed us to be able to turn on the bedroom lights without waking him, or worry about him seeing us in the morning and waking too early. He was able to take naps during the daytime in what would otherwise be a fairly well lit room. We loved that the fan gave some extra airflow as well as some white noise to help baby sleep. The monitor pocket was also very helpful, and can be used for either an audio or video monitor as it has a clear pocket that views down into the crib.It was fairly easy to set up and use, but depending on the size of the room that you are in you may need some extra space to get the poles in initially. We loved the travel bag that it came in, making it easy to transport and pack, however I do wish the bag was slightly bigger or that it came with additional instructions to fold the cover back up in a way that it fits into the bed more easily. The materials were nice quality and were very soft and breathable. We did not worry at all about our child’s safety while in the the slumber pod. Will definitely purchase another if needed, worth every penny!

  10. Great blackout for the toddler so we don’t need to eat dinner in darkness!

  11. This is a genius bit of kit for travelling parents. It allows you to put your kids to sleep in their travel bed and still allow you to have the lights on and have conversations without the little one from being disturbed. We used with a little night light and sound machine so it drowned out any noise from us.It’s lightweight and fits in my eu sized suitcase. There are plenty of vent holes and the fan is a must for circulation of air otherwise it gets a bit stagnant inside.Only two criticisms I have is:1. The ends of the tent poles are quite sharp and wore through one of the straps so I had to get a machinist to replace it and have now made plastic covers for the end of the poles.2. I like to use a nanit camera with the tent so I can see inside while he sleeps. The positioning is quite difficult because the clear plastic creates some reflections for the night vision ir lights so causes the images to become blurry. You have to position the camera perfectly to be able to see anything it personally change that design to have it mounted inside the tent with some velcro straps.Overall I would highly recommend this tent for anyone who travels and sleeps in the same room as their child!

  12. Great for travelling, small, compact and easy to set up. Only issue is that the plastic for the baby monitor gets crumpled and impossible to see anything in the dark when we place our baby monitor inside. For almost $400, one would expect a bigger way to attach baby monitors.

  13. If you can only invest in ONE travel item, it’s THIS… hands down! The SlumberPod tent is one of my top shared baby items to all my friends and has been a total game changer. We travel often (whether it’s long vacations or quick overnights) and this has not only kept our baby on her normal sleeping schedule, but made our travel experiences so much more enjoyable and easy! This pod can be set up within a few minutes (same style as a normal tent with the two buildable rods that snake through to hold the structure) and broken down even faster. I think at this point I’ve been able to do it in under 5 minutes! Especially if you (or anyone) are sharing a room with your little one, the pod goes easily over virtually ANY size crib, pack&play, etc. and creates a breathable but fully black-out sleeping environment. Depending on the room temperature, we sometimes use the fan which goes into a little pouch on the side to create additional airflow/circulation but often times don’t need it. We’re able to keep the lights on in the room without disturbing the baby given its ability to provide a true black-out environment. You can also easily check on baby with the zip front. We also hook our travel sound machine onto the crib inside the pod for a sleep experience just like she has at home… it’s great! When traveling, the pod (and rods) pack down well and we typically just roll it up to save space. We’ve never had an issue packing this item into any bags… even if it’s a small weekend bag… it’s worth it! A few things to note, however: there is a pouch that says you can put your video monitor in, however, I wish this feature was better because the plastic doesn’t really work to be able to actually see through when you put the monitor (in our case- nanit) in. One solution we have found (which is a bit of a DIY hack is we just bring packing tape and tape our monitor onto the side of the crib if we need to use a monitor and that works for us.) Additionally, to use the fan (and camera), you have to be pretty close to an outlet because the cords aren’t very long, so one recommendation could be to pack a small extension cord, not use the features or find a place in the room that’s close enough to use an outlet.
