I bought this projector as a gift for our pre teen granddaughter . She absolutely loves it. The Northern lights effect is very soothing and actually quite accurate. The varying colours undulate and stars can be added as well. It can play various nature sounds or you can run your own music because it has Bluetooth capabilities. I shopped around for a northern lights projector before settling on this one. It costs a little more but it is extremely well made and worth the money.
Spectacular light display!
Despite some reviews stating their unit didn’t last long/broke, there were also many good reviews so I decided to order this northern light device. I am so pleased with the quality. The lights quite resemble actual northern lights. I’ve been using it almost non-stop each evening for 8 months. It has many color display variations. I set it on multi and I get all the beautiful colors available. It does not get hot while operating. Remote is very reliable. Timer shuts it down after 4 hrs of operation. It is also bluetooth and it paired wonderfully with my device. Sound quality is average for a unit like this, which is not very large. Bluetooth is always on as long as my device is with me, so if I’m browsing on my smartphone, all sound comes through this light device, which is convenient. Much better sound than what I get with my smartphone. The actual light show covers the entire ceiling in a 16ft room. Also available in this unit is ambient sounds to fill the air while you enjoy the light show. Convenient while sleeping. I am really happy with this item. Photos provided on Amazon represent this unit very well.
OK, this is really great
Got this for our bedroom. This thing is really cool! Super calming, really pretty, various color and speed settings, and so many options on the remote including sounds and music.My only issue is unless we have it sitting on the bed in the center of the room (with an extension cord running to it as the cord isn’t very long :-), it’s kind of hard to set it at an angle that covers the whole room – setting it on a dresser only projects on part of the room. We just prop something under one side so it angles properly to cover the entire ceiling, but a nice feature to add would be an adjustable stand on the bottom of the unit. OR even better maybe redesign it as rechargeable via USB so it’s cordless and you can set it in the middle of a room without having to run power to an outlet. It has a timer already, so it’s not something that you’d leave running all night anyway.Anyway, cheers to a really cool gadget!

Northern Lights Aurora Projector, AIRIVO Star Projector for Bedroom, Bluetooth model HJ-XKD09. First I bought this as a gift and my sister liked it so much I bought one for myself. It really is quite lovely. I tried it in a few different rooms but I like it best in the bedroom to watch before I go to sleep. It is so relaxing and AWEsome. I meant to emphasize the AWE because as I look up and see the shimmering lights it just brings in a feeling of awe, which is relaxing and good for your well being.I had a little trouble figuring out some of the controls, somehow I missed the instructions on how to change the white noise and had it stuck on xmas music! But the instructions for this (in English) are on page 1. There are also instructions on page 1on how to turn off the stars if you like to have only Aurora lights. I think these features can only be accessed on the unit itself.I had no intention of using the Bluetooth speaker as I figured the sound would be poor quality but it is actually quite good for lower volume relaxation music. I can’t rate the timer as I haven’t figured that out yet. But the instructions say to only run it for 3 hrs and turn it off to cool the light.I intend to bring this to a dinner party I am going to next week to add a little awe to the evening!
Awesome projector !
I have wanted a star projector for awhile, and when this one came up on sale, and had good reviews, I decided to give it a shot. I am so happy with my purchase. The ceiling, and the whole room really, light up like northern lights and it transforms my space into a dreamy zone. You can switch through a few different colours, and change the settings to have stars or none (the only star colour is green). The remote works well, as does the bluetooth. The speakers arent that great, but for a $50 projector they are as expected. I bought this for the light show, not the sound it emits. The white noise is just an added bonus, the rain and creek sounds are good. You can play your own music and the lights change to the beat, but it was a bit hectic for me, I am just happy to listen to my music on a good speaker and watch the beautiful light display on its own. The laser which throws up the stars could possibly cause some eye damage, so best to make sure if you are going to use it with kids they are well aware of that. Saying that ,I did buy 2 more for the kids in my life, as christmas gifts, because I think they will love it, and it is a perfect joint gift I think. Super happy with my purchase 😀
Beautiful and quiet
Love it! The star pattern is a bit repetitive, but honestly I purchased it for the northern lights, which are great. Itâs very quiet and small enough to fit on my bedside table.

The positive:Beautiful northern lights.whole ceiling lit up,multy choice of colors,colors well defined.With or without stars & different speed of the northtern lights mouvements.bluetooth incorporated,works fine.good size projector.the negative:â¶ï¸THE CONTROLER. Very cheap plastic. Doesnt always work when the buttons are pressed.Very annoying.white noise âsounds selectionâ a little weird and not well explained in the booklet ( i figured it out by accident).the projection âtimingâ ,not great . When we press it, it is Loud and theres no indication, if we pressed for 1/2hr/1hr or 2 hrs.Also,It would be much better if we could tilt the projector for better & full projection on the ceiling.
