if you want to get a manual food processor, get this one
This is so much better than the hand-cranked ones with ropes. If you already have one or donât want to use an electric one, get this. For smaller quantities, itâs faster than electric models and much easier to clean. Highly recommended!

i use it all the time in my cooking. just do a rough cut into big blocks then use this to dice after. makes cutting quick and easy. it is surprisingly strong and, also easy to clean.

Terrific kitchen device!
This product is a well-made chopping device. This is a time-saver for veggies such as onions, carrots, mushroom and peppers to add to sauces or to prepare chopped salads. I keep this on the counter and it’s used frequently thru the week. I’ve also used it to whip small amounts of whipped cream. The lower gear is an excellent aspect; very useful for sturdier veggies that require more ‘muscle’ to process. I’ve also used this to make a super-easy guacamole – onions, avocado, lime juice, cilantro and cherry tomatoes. With a few turns it’s all done. Clean up is simple – a quick rinse and it’s done. After cleaning the sharp blades, I wrap them in a tissue to prevent any rust from forming. One small criticism is that when turning the crank, it’s slightly too close to my knuckles, however, when one adjusts the hand movement, it’s not a problem.Overall, a great and inexpensive solution to hauling out the seldom-used food processor. This manual food processor (or more fittingly, a food chopper), is used frequently thru the week.
TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE
This is the worst manual chopper I have ever owned, and through the years I have owned a few. Shame on you Starfrit!!! 1. The blades are wimpy and too small and they don’t chop properly or evenly. 2. The handle keeps popping out of the gear slot. 3. It slides around on the counter. 4. The handle is so low it whacks your hand every time it goes around. I used it for the first time since I bought it today and it is now lying in the garbage. I didn’t use it in time for returns. Stupid thing. Do not waste your money. There are so many better ones out there. You can sure tell where starfrit has saved themselves some money.

For those who give a poor review it’s because they haven’t read the manual!!There are 2 settings on the top, we must start by putting the handle on the grey indentation then if you want super small pieces, you switch the lever to the green indentation! ALSO, you need to hear it or feel the click, if you don’t, the handle will fly off!!!It comes with a dual very sharp blades, a plastic blade to whip, a small but very handy spatula, a cover and an instruction manual in both English and French! They also have a couple recipes!!I recommend this product 100%ð
Too clunky.
It a great chopper, itâs difficult to use and hard on the hand holding the chopper because of lack of space. Easy to clean but functionality is way too difficult.
