I wanted to write a review on this because I see a bunch of reviews saying goes crooked when tightening up and isn’t straight. Those people must not be installing correctly as I installed with the 10″ and 7″ extension and know bowing of the gate. I even tried the 10″ and 4″ extension with the pressure screws almost maxed out and still the gate was squared up. The provide pins to an excellent job as you can see in my picture of gate is straight and the bottom bracket lines up with the frame to lock the door in place. Maybe with the 4,7 and 10″ inserts I might bow but I’m more leaning that installed correctly that would be no problem either.Product I think is very well made and with the premium price compared to other gates. It’s attractive with the metal and wood door mix and the curved door (This is probably the main reason why I got it over the auto-close model they have) the curved look just gives me an upper scale type gate. Also I don’t need the auto-close feature as this is just to keep my dog away from the front door when coming in and out. The auto gate always closing would be a little annoying unless you lock it in place.Anyhow I highly recommend this gate, a little bit more $$$ but I’m fine with that as long as the product is good then it’s worth it in the end.
Great gate
This gate is fantastic! So fantastic that we now own 3 of them. No drilling into the walls, fairly simple installation, very sturdy construction. If not installed properly, the gate will not latch/close – it’s not defective. I am not sure how others are finding this gate difficult to open. Unless it’s not properly installed, it will be tough to match the bottom “hook/bracket” with the top latch.The look and feel of this gate is also great. It looks expensive and very stylish. When on sale, you cannot go wrong with the value for the price!We also have a Summer Infant top of the stairs wooden gate and wish I could same the same – that one is awful construction, hard to move/slide/open – you need to be very careful with it when opening/closing as I am always afraid the closing clasp on it will break off.
Nice looking but not effective enough to keep children in. Good for pets.
Lost a star only because the door mechanism is so easy to unlock that it only took one of my children 3 minutes to figure out. Otherwise they are amazing. Good quality, sturdy, nice looking & easyish to install.
Top notch – highly recommend!
I purchased this gate for my 110lb, 8 month old puppy who grew too large for his crate. I put this gate up in a wide wall to wall space to block him in my living room while trying to get him used to being out of the crate. BIG mistake… Needless to say I had to buy a new couch… I then relocated the gate to another location to enclose him in my hallway with less potential destruction and a smaller width to mount the gate. I love the look, the practicality and the durability of the gate to enclose my humongous dog. *side note: I was playing fetch indoors the night before we put up the gate and it was leading against the wall. He ran for his toy and bumped into the leaning gate. When it fell to the floor it terrified him so much that he wouldn’t come out of the bedroom for a day + without encouragement. Being a pansy and cautious of the gate I’m sure has helped the durability of the gate as he doesn’t really tamper with it. A little bit of (unintentional) fear I’m sure helped me out with this crate training graduation!
Excellent quality and good looking baby gate
This is the second baby gate I ordered as the first one from a different manufacturer arrived with parts missing.This is a quality baby gate and did a great job of containing two grandchildren, their small friend and two little dogs over the Christmas period.It’s a very nice looking gate compared with the usual white offerings and it fit with our decor very well.Our stairwell is fairly wide and this gate was a perfect fit with the extension pieces added on.This gate is very sturdy and easy to assemble with the included tool for tightening the non-destructive mounting system.

Nice gate but tough to get square as you tighten. Comes with 1 bar at an angle so you know when the tension is proper but that makes it tough to get square. If itâs not square the bottom âUâ to put over the bottom bar and the top lock do not easily match up for easy closing. Seems to need 2 hands to open/close. Inconvenient but secure. I do really like this gate though and it fits our wide opening very well!! Would still recommend
Great Puppy Gate
I am so thrilled with this gate… I actually ended up purchasing two. I love the fact that it has a grey/steel look… with the brown wood look. Personally this gate matches the decor in our house perfectly! contemporary and sleek.We bought the gates to contain our Norwegian Elkhound (medium size dog about 50lbs) in specific areas of our house, he isn’t inclined to chew on the materials.The gate is a bit higher than most at 30″ high, and wider than most stretching to 60″. Very easy to assemble and are stay in place/have good tension once installed. I love the fact that there is a wide door/gate for us to walk through or leave open when the dog is welcome into our living room.The price point is EXCELLENT! The gate is extremely easy to open with one hand and is very light.Now I realize that it is not HIGH quality… and the wood is probably not really wood, nor is the metal really metal… the gate is too light for that… but I do believe it will be durable and last for a long time.
