My two year old wants to change his own dirty diaper, or just stick his hand in there while he’s sleeping which compromises the diaper’s function to keep the pee *inside* the diaper.A onsie? He’ll go in through the side of the leg. Pants? He’ll just reach in from the top. Onsie and pants? He’ll reach in the top and find a way in through the side, just takes a little longer.With the long legs and high collar he can’t get in through the top. Once he managed to work his way up the legs and reach into his diaper but it’s a long and labor intense process which isn’t an issue when he’s sleeping. No more trying to figure out how much bedding needs to be washed every day because it’s filled with pee and waking up to a pee soaked little man climbing into bed with me to tell me he’s uncomfortable, wet, cold, and smelly. No more being randomly woken up at all hours of the night because he’s peed while up to his elbow in his diaper.I’ve just ordered two more to give me a little more leeway with his penchant for covering them in sticky food or spilled drinks before we change into day clothes. These are hands down the only thing he can sleep in until he’s old enough to potty train or grows out of them. Or if I’m sick and can’t keep as close a watch on him. Really just nice to have some peace of mind. Wish I’d had these when his big sister was obsessed with changing her own diaper.Also easy to scrub off small spots due to the partially synthetic fabric. Dries fast. Being able to change his diaper without stripping him down is nice. No buttons is a big hit with everyone.
