We bought to provide our 3 year old daughter with an alternative place to sleep when travelling. She is afraid to sleep on a hotel bed because most are fairly high off the floor. We did a test run at home and it was an instant success with our little girl. We had to remind her it is a bed and not a bouncy castle. There are two chambers to inflate: the actual sleeping area (rectangular) and the border. We were able to inflate/deflate this travel bed in about a minute by using the cylindrical shaped nozzle with the with the air output/intake vent on the supplied air pump. Once completely deflated, we were able to roll it back up and store in the travel bag like a sleeping bag. The only downside to this product would be that it does take up space in a suitcase. We put it in a suitcase that we had checked as it would have taken up most of a carry-on size piece of luggage.Overall, we are pleased we brought it along on our recent trip with one day stay-overs before and after our cruise. It fit neatly beside our bed and should fit neatly between two queen beds in most hotel rooms. We didn’t need it on the cruise ship as she slept on the sofa bed which was lower to the floor compared to our bed. Although it is possible for a child to roll off the ends of this air mattress if they move around a lot while sleeping like our daughter, at least no bones would be broken as only a few inches high.Pros:- comes with strong air pump that can be used to inflate/deflate- Duffle bag with drawstring provided for travel- toddler bed sheet covers the sleep area- sturdy construction – had a two and three year old both snooze on this without issues during a sleepover with my nieceCons:- Takes up room in your suitcase- air pump is noisy
Holds the air for a long time!
I bought this in 2018 and have used this many times. Recently tested the duration of the inflation and I can attest during the course of 4 months the bed has barely lost any of the 100% of inflation. The brown portion is a suede material so a cover is ideal as everything clings to it and you will need to use a roller or vacuum to keep it clean. The material used is strong does not feel cheap. I have had my little guy and 140-pound young adult test it and still provides the same comfort. The side walls are are a bit low but have never witnessed my little guy go over them. Easy to clean with a damp cloth and dry. The pump and attachments are great, set up is quick. The bag and patches are amazing to this day I have not had to patch it. Highly recommend if you are looking for a travel bed you will not be disappointed.
Love this bed!
Ordered this bed for my daughter for our family vacation and for small house guests. Was very easy to set up and especially enjoy you can use a crib sheet for the inner mattress. As soon as I set it up, my daughter was excited to lay on it. I feel confident that my daughter will be safe while sleeping with the raised sides.Another plus, is the travel storage bag and the electric pump that was included in the box. The travel storage bag is big enough to comfortably get the mattress and pump back in the bag — but small enough that it doesn’t take up too much room.I highly recommend this bed!
Great travel bed for my 2
Great travel bed for my 2, now 3 year old. It is easy to travel with and doesn’t take up much space in a suitcase. We put pillows around the bed because he is a roller and tends to roll off the bed, but aside from that (which has nothing to do with the bed) this has been a quality purchase. We first used it for a week in Mexico, we had to add air to it after about 3 or 4 days, but I thought that was reasonable considering its a blow up bed. It blows up in two compartments, which eliminates the cold air effect that I find normal air mattresses have. We have used it at grandparents house and even at home when my son is feeling sick. A regular crib sheet fits over the bed and from what my little one tells me, its quite comfy. He sleeps well on it, no nighttime disruptions to speak of.
Versatile- easy setup and put away
I purchased this toddler bed for my granddaughter who stays over on occasion. She is 2 years old currently and was sleeping in a playpen. I was a little concerned with the air mattress type of bed, but it worked out perfect. She has used it twice and has had a great sleep on both occasions with little to no disturbance. I love the side rails that are built-in. Really happy I did finally purchase this after looking at it for about 2 months. I guess the only concern would be, because it is a blow-up mattress, locating any puncture hole should happen and then repairing it. The included electric air pump is one of the best I’ve ever used. And can we use on many things of course.
Low quality product, refused customer service
This bed is very low quality, and the company refuses to respond to my warranty requests. The bed developed multiple tiny leaks within 10 days of use by my 30 lb, 2.5 y/o son while we were on vacation. The bed would slowly deflate over about 2-3 hours and my son would wake up on the hard ground. The patches provided did not fix the issue. When I contacted the company to initiate a warranty claim, they did not respond. I followed up with them at least 4 times over the course of 6 months and they failed to respond at any point. No explanation was provided. I met all the requirements for a warranty claim. Do not buy this product or any product made by this unreasonable company.
Super convenient!
We bought this for a crazy whirlwind trip home where my 3-year-old would be sleeping in 6 different locations in under 10 days! I was expecting typical air mattress hassle, but it inflated within about 20 seconds and deflated almost as quickly as I could roll it, so setup and takedown were very easy. Fit nicely in our suitcase and didn’t add much weight.We were a bit worried about if our daughter would stay put, since she is still in a crib at home, but tucking the blanket around the internal mattress kept her very secure and she stayed in bed every night. She seems to miss this tucking feature now that she’s back in her bed at home.Since the bed is still new, I can’t speak to the durability yet, but it feels robust and came with a little patch kit.Very happy with this purchase.
Hallo an Alle!Ich habe das Luftbett, wie wahrscheinlich die meisten, für den Urlaub gekauft. Aktuell haben wir es seit etwa 1 Monat zuhause zu Gewöhnungszwecken zuhause aufgebaut.Mein Sohn 3 findet es toll und schläft sehr gut darauf.Das Luftbett hält es übrigens auch aus wenn man sich mit etwa 75 kg +18kg Kind darauf legt. Ihr könnt euer Kind daher wie gewohnt auch im Urlaub zu Bett bringen.Die mitgelieferte Luftpumpe funktioniert einwandfrei. Nur am Anfang war es etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, da man die Lufteinbringung wirklich gerade halten muss, sonst geht nichts weiter.Also falls ihr da Probleme habt, schaut euch an wie ihr den Einbringstecker haltet und probiert ein wenig.Das auslassen der Luft ist wirklich sehr einfach und schnell.
Certes ce produit est plus cher que les autres matelas gonflable pour enfant que l’on peut trouver mais la qualité est là !Se gonfle en un rien de temps grâce au gonfleur électrique fourni (sur secteur).Il est très stable et confortable, une fois replié il ne prend que très peu de place. j’ai acheté en plus le sac de couchage qui s’adapte dessus, c’est parfait !Une chose à savoir, le produit est garanti à vie !
This worked great for our vacation! Very very easily to blow up with the included pump. I have also found that the pump works for other things too so its a really awesome deal for this. We’ve used the pump to blow up our swimming pool for our daughter. Super quick and easy. But the travel bed is definitely worth purchasing. Its very thick, durable and well made. Good quality so we had no worries about popping it and help up to my daughter’s weight as well as her older cousin. The side “rails” are perfect. They kept my daughter from rolling out of the bed at night but once she woke up in the morning, it was very easy for her to climb out. It compacts in the box really well so doesn’t take up much space in storage and not much space when transporting it. Overall, this is definitely worth purchasing. Not just great for travel but great for family to have on hand in case your kiddo spends the night at a grandparent’s home or a friends house. I would definitely recommend this product in a heartbeat!
We have ten grandchildren and a few years ago were looking for a product that we could use when they all come to visit at the same time. I am so glad we purchased this toddler bed from The Shrunks. It inflates and deflates quickly, it is well made and has held up to years of use. I was so pleased with this product that I just purchased the less expensive one and am equally pleased. I have added a photo which shows the two “The Shrunks” products next to the Intex toddler bed on the right. Both The Shrunks beds may look smaller than the one on the right but they have worked for our grandchildren through age 8. Providing a snuggly place to curl up at the foot of Mom and Dad’s bed. If you are looking for something that will last as long as your kids/grandkids are age 8, choose this travel toddler bed by “The Shrunks”! I wish I had room for the twin size version!
