Bought this after I saw my niece and nephew with one. My 2 year old is obsessed with this cup and so excited to drink out of it! It’s perfect to take on the go and to the gym because of the cover. I have thrown it in my bag so many times and it does not leak! I’ve never owned a cup that is actually “leak proof”, but this one is! We put his water and milk in it and it stays cold all day. Perfect for our Arizona weather! It’s also the perfect size for him!
So far this cup hasn’t disappointed. Of course my son loves the Mickey Mouse design, but I love the fact that it keeps his drinks cold for a long period when we’re not near a fridge. My husband even accidently left this cup out in the morning full of milk, and when I found it after work, the milk in it was still very cold! It’s gone through a few dishwasher (top shelf) washings and is still in great shape (nothing warped and the design has not faded or washed off).
Great product
This is a great, solid cup that is easy for my toddler to open and close. It is also a good size and I feel much safer not using plastic, however if any water is left in the cup for over 24 hours it takes on an odd taste. I have only ever used water in the cup and I wash it with hot soapy water every couple days. The user manual states not to leave liquid in it for more than 24 hours, now I know why. I would still not hesitate to buy this cup again.
These cups are great, they allow you to seal the straw closed from dirt and debris, they clean easily and they are easily assembled/disassembled. The only issue with these is if the silicone straw (sipping part) gets twisted. If it gets twisted or the lid gets overtightened – this will leak and pour out when turned upside down. Typically the silicone getting turned is from 1 of two things, (1) the outside plastic ring being pushed down or even forgotten or (2) over-tightening the lid. We use these constantly – great in the car and great for my toddler to be able to open and close himself.
