Quick and easy
Not the most secure and not great for long term use but it is quick and easy to install and works for us. Luckily we are tall enough to walk over rather than reinstalling each time we need access
Worst gate ever
It is very difficult to use & to adjust. It doesnât fit secure against the wall unless u put these thingies on the wall to fit them in. Get the gate that u lift 2 release & push down handle 2 secure.
Baby Gate SHOULD BE PARTNERED with Wall Protector
After reading all other reviews on this product I figured that perhaps we can modify on how to set it up. We used a baby gate wall protector (purchased separately about $19) to ADD STURDINESS to this gate and it worked! Also we ended up using only one wall protector as you can see in the picture because the gate itself is uneven but was sturdy enough if we use only one wall protector. This product is cost efficient PROVIDED you use a wall protector. So the cost of this gate plus the wall protector is still less vs other gates that are too expensive. No drilling on our walls and lightweight too which is why its easy to install. I donât worry at all with my 16 month old son leaning on this its very stable. Overall weâre satisfied with this product.
Simple baby gate that does the job
A simple baby gate that does its purpose. Easy to install, instructions are in the box. Fits my doorway snugly. However, I cannot put it down to the floor because of the baseboards on the walls. I am using it to prevent my crawling baby from going to the kitchen. This is a cheaper alternative for the expensive plastic or metal baby gates. It is not a walkthrough gate though but it is low enough that I can just go over it to go to the other side without removing it. It looks sturdy enough for me because my baby is just learning to walk and does not have enough strength yet. I would not recommend it for a toddler though or for a big dog.
Adequate – you get what you for
We bought this to put at the bottom of the stairs to stop our young puppy and our little granddaughter gong up the stairs. It is identical to what we used for many years when our own children were young except now the gate is not solid wood, it’s lighter and I would say not suitable for a household with older children and larger pets, but will do the job I needed it for so ok. I would have paid more to have it made from real solid wood as it was previously, they survived years of growing children and larger dogs and frequent taking off and on – this ones going to stay up as I doubt it would take the same off/on pressure. It is adequate for small pets and very young children.
Not as sturdy as the old ones
This gate is much less sturdy than expected. The sides twist when you’re trying to expand it to get a snug fit and then the horizontal piece ends up digging into the door frame instead of the rubber bits.It works for what we need it to, but they definitely need to make some design improvements. I had a similar style gate years ago and it was significantly better. The one plus I have is that it’s easy to take down and put up. Do NOT buy this for the stairs, it would not be safe. It’s sufficient to block a doorway.
Very good
This was used for my bedroom door. I wanted to keep my puppy out.It is a very simple design and it does the job well. It seems sturdy enough and the price was right.Installation couldnât be easier, no hardware needed. Doesnât leave any marks on the doorframe either. Would recommend for the purpose I am using it for.
Exactly as expected!
Got the first one yesterday and the other is arriving today a week earlier then the original estimated delivery date. If you already know how to use these kind of gates it works excellent. The clamp on the setting bar was a little too tight and had to loosen it (I assume this is for shipping reason so it stays together sturdy and doesnât get damaged). Itâs already been tested over the last 24 hrs and itâs great and works as expected and great value for the money 🙂 was rolling the dice as seen some of the reviews but now Iâm thinking besides for the manufacture errors the rest of the lower reviews are due to lack of understanding how these gates are used.
Realmente este producto con mi perro que es de talla chica. Es muy firme y bastante facil de usar. No necesita instalaciones solo se coloca bajo presion entre paredes. Es una excelente compra del cual no me arrepiento. Ya tengo cerca de 6 meses con el producto y sin fallas.
I wasn’t going to review a product that already had a ton of reviews already, but I felt it was unfair for some reviewers to get mad about such a cheap product not living up to their expectations. Yes, it’s cheap. At least for me, it has been really sturdy. I bought three (one at my house and two at my father’s, since he watches my son occasionally), and I’ve walked into it twice. Because I’m dumb. The second time I pushed it through the doorway and bent it pretty bad, but it still works. The plastic is really forgiving and went back to it’s original shape. My son will sometimes get a hold of it when it’s not preventing him access to something, and he is really good at taking it off the “tracks.” It’s annoying but it goes back together easily. I think for the price this gate works amazingly well.
Es muy buen producto, lo ocupo para no dejar pasar a perros de raza mediana a unas escaleras y cumple su objetivo, el material es un poco sencillo pero me parece bien por el precio que tiene, es muy estético, solo debes asegurar que ambas paredes donde se va a sostener sean uniformes porque se ajusta a presión, además la madera donde se hace el ajuste se debe abrir o safar para poder presionarlo mejor, esto es un poco complicado de entenderlo al inicio, pero una vez que lo entiendes la puedes ajustar perfectamente y queda fuerte y resistente.
I got this gate because my dog and the dog we’re currently fostering haven’t been getting along, and I needed a way to separate them at times without totally shutting one in another room or crating them. This is perfect. I was worried that it’d be too hard to set up, because I vaguely remember never being able to figure these out when I babysat. But it only took a few minutes. I agree with other people that it’d be a good idea to mark the correct notch (my door was 30 inches). Careful not to force the wood lever thing or it’ll snap (this didn’t happen to me, I could just see how it could happen). This was up in a few minutes and was very sturdy.The dogs are both labs, so I was afraid they’d simply jump over it, but they didn’t! I just put one in the other room (with a clear sight-line to us), calmly locked the gate into place, said “stay here,” and walked away. The foster dog didn’t move at all.I will say that if you plan to have to cross this a lot, then I’d probably spring for the bolt-in ones that are a bit more permanent. This one would get annoying to step over all the time and/or to dismantle a lot. But if you’re looking to use it sporadically or in an out-of-the-way room, I recommend this one! And you can’t beat the price.
Llegó super rápido, antes de lo esperado. El material es bueno, solo que la malla es de plástico, mis perros son tranquilos pero tal vez otros podrÃan destruirla con facilidad. El ajuste esta bien pero no es excelente, tienes que colocarla muy bien con los soportes para que quede bien fija sino se moverá.
