I have used this set to help reinforce colors, counting, numbers, and even domino recognition. The finger puppets are just adorable and so much fun to play with. We enjoy mixing it all up the sorting out the colors and putting the dinosaurs in their homes for nap. My son has learned a couple new colors from playing with this. His counting has improved since we are doing play counting more instead of flash cards for recognition. The plastic houses seem durable enough and are easy to wipe clean. This is a very versatile learning set and it is definately properly guaged for ages 1-3, but I think 4 year olds would probably enjoy exploring it too.
These are super fun learning toys for the kiddo! I love the fact that you get 10 houses in all different colors, as well as matching roofs to go along with them. In addition to the colors, they are all numbered, with the appropriate amount of dots on the roof as well for matching, and they spell out what the color of the house is. The dinosaurs themselves also have numbers on them to coordinate, and the roof is different on each side, so it helps with fine tune orientation. The dinosaurs are all different which is awesome, and makes it not just a learning experience but fun play time with the kid as well. All the dinosaurs also have little holes in the bottom so you can kind of use them as finger puppets. They are a rubber material so they’re soft and flexible, and there was no strange smell to them. All in all, I love this a lot, really cool set. Highly recommended!
This is a fun and easy way to help your toddler with numbers and colors. My daughter age 3 loved that they all had their own little house. I was asking her questions about the colors and numbers for where each one lived. Them being finger puppets allows her to use her imagination and play different scenarios with the dinosaur neighborhood. I am actually keeping the box for now because it’s a great place to keep the peices together.
These are great for a gift. They did get a little stiff and close to cracking when left in the sun/heat for a long period of time, but over all these are great
