It’s all about Science! UnbuckleMe is a Class II Lever that uses mechanical advantage to reduce the force needed to unbuckle by at least 50%. The patented design uses a simple machine that is simple and highly effective.
Lightweight and Flexible
UnbuckleMe has a flexible design, that slips easily underneath the buckle. It does not attach to the carseat for safety, so that kids can’t unbuckle themselves. Attach it to a keychain or diaper bag, or store in a safe place in the car (like the side door pocket, glove compartment, or back pocket of the driver’s seat). When not in use, keep out of reach of children.
Invented by a Grandma
UnbuckleMe was invented by an Occupational Therapist, who is also a grandmother with arthritis in her thumb. She was frustrated that she could not unbuckle her granddaughter’s car seat, and decided to invent a solution. She is working with her daughter (a Child Passenger Safety Technician) to bring UnbuckleMe to all people who struggle with carseat buckles.

I’m a woman who loves to get her nails done, therefore this is a perfect item for me. I used to use my key to press the button but with this buckle aid is perfect and very practical. It is made of good and sturdy material and works perfectly.

I’ve broken so many nails on car seats.This little thing works so well! No more broken nails and hurting my fingers.It is so easy to use and allows my 4 year old to unbuckle herself. (When it’s handed to her)
Not as useful as expected.
It looks as described and is pretty sturdy but I find it hard to get it around the bottom buckle to position above the button. When I do get it in place and push down where you’re supposed to, it only ejects one of the straps, not the other, and I end up having to do it by hand, as I would have done normally. Bought it so that my 5 year old could get herself out of the car seat and she cannot use it at all. Disappointing.
Best invention ever
I really wanted to think this was gimmicky and not needed but it is sooo worth it!! I wear long nails and itâs impossible to get the car seat button undone, with this I have zero issues. I keep it attached to the car seat handle that way my mom who has arthritis can use it too! I even tried to buy a âdupeâ on Amazon but it didnât work at all and I had to return it. This is the one, a little pricey for what it is but so worth it!

Occasionally, I get to help out transporting our grandson to appointments . And I always had trouble unbuckling his harness. Sometimes worrying that I would never get him out! He is 6, & told me that “maybe I needed to cut my fingernails”. So I did trim my thumb nails.. LOL! But with his help, I could get him out (needed 4 hands!!) Anyway! Bought this & it works very slick! My grandson even used it to show me that he could do it too! If you have ever had trouble getting your child or grandchild out of his car seat, I highly recommend this. It will save you some stress!
I have 2 kids, my oldest uses this to unbuckle herself when we arrive at places so I don’t have to go to both sides of the car to do it. It saves time and she loves feeling independent. WIN-WIN!She does keep it in her cupholder (she is 5). She has not tried to unbuckle while I’m driving. But if you have a wild child. I suggest you keep it at the front with you and pass it to your child for them to do it and give it back when they’re done. OR you keep it and do it yourself.

I purchased this a yr ago to use when visiting my grandkids but bc of covid did not get to use it until recently..at first it was a little hard to squeeze it under the buckle but after several times I learned how best to do it an it worked perfectly an definitely saved my thumbs..so thumbs upð to this little gadget!!!!..I highly recommend it!!!!
