Works great! The projection is perfect my baby absolutely loves it. It has a handy timer with choices of 15, 30, and 45 minutes. Also plays music and nature noises. The penguin is also super soft I canât wait till sheâs able to play with it!

Adorable Nightlight and Sound Machine
This VTech Baby Soothing Starlight Igloo is absolutely adorable and includes a dual purpose nightlight/sound machine as well as an adorable little plush penguin that your child can cuddle with.The nightlight has several modes and can play 60 different songs and lullabies, different nature sounds and has options for two different nightlight modes (doorway surround or ceiling projection light). The doorway light will also turn on when you place the penguin inside the igloo which is a fun way to teach your child to put away their toys. It features a built in timer with three different settings that will turn it off after 15, 30 or 45 minutes and has a built in cry sensor that will automatically turn it on and play soothing sounds or music when it hears your baby cry.It comes with 2AA batteries installed, but these are for demo purposes only and will need to be replaced with some high quality Alkaline batteries. I would prefer if this used a USB charging cable and wall adapter instead of batteries.Overall, this is a really well made and affordable toy and nightlight, but would be better if it was USB powered rather than battery powered, so it gets a recommended and 4 out of 5 stars.

Cute Baby Toy
Nice baby gift that covers a few bases in terms of sensory development and stimulation. You’ve got some music, a little light show, and a soft and fuzzy plush toy that is removable from the igloo. Also like the fact that it comes from a known brand like Vtech, as I’m weary of buying random brands I’ve never heard of on Amazon, especially for kids’ items. Yes, it does use two AA batteries (included), and yes, USB rechargeable is more convenient, but rechargeable devices pretty well all use lithium batteries, which don’t fail often, but fail pretty spectacularly when they do. For a toy that may not get all that much use, I’m happy with AAs.
Good full length songs, cute plush
The plush is cute, fluffy and very soft, the kids loved it, it doesn’t have any powered functions.The penguin cave plays a few classic songs win penguin related twists in the lyrics, the songs and fairly long and well recorded, the toy also has a some more polyphonic baby sleep music.The voice and cry detection function works, but I found it to be hit and miss as it doesn’t always trigger.The toy is a bit too large for what I expected,it’s a hassle to store and takes up too much space on a nightstand.

My 3 year old and 20 month old absolutely love this thing. It has to be turned on when they get tucked in and when I check on them in the middle of the night they’ve sometimes turned it on. It is helping them have more confidence in the dark at night. I recommend this product.
Nice soothing for baby
Je ne suis pas toujours fan de la marque vtech, mais cette veilleuse m’as séduite. Je l’ai acheté pour le Noël de mon bébé de 13 mois. Elle est douce, esthétique et attirante pour les enfant. Le son est clair et doux et l’option de pouvoir mettre le petit pingouin dans l’igloo pour lancer la musique est vraiment pas mal, pour un enfant plus grand. Je pense qu’elle peut aider à apaiser un rituel du coucher.Je recommande car elle n’est pas faite que pour les bébés et pour les musiques il y en a pour tous les goûts
This little igloo and penguin set is such a cute idea! Not only do you get the adorable igloo with its lights and sounds- you also get the projected lights AND a little penguin to hug! This is such a fun and interactive toy with multiple uses, and we are really enjoying it. My little one is too small to appreciate the penguin much, but she loves the lights and sounds. We haven’t used it for its cry sensing feature, so I can’t review that aspect of it, but everything else is amazing and we LOVE it!
Jâadore ce petit pingouin que jâai prévu dâoffrir à ma belle-fille pour la naissance de son fils.Il a vraiment une bonne bouille et surtout de nombreuses fonctions idéales les bébés.Ce jouet est composé dâun petit pingouin en peluche et de son igloo qui se transforme en veilleuse mais également en projecteur de ciel étoilé.Pour que les 2 se mettent en route, il faut placer le pingouin dans son igloo.On peut également mettre lâigloo en mode veilleuse ou en mode projection uniquement si on le souhaiteCe jouet est également musical avec 3 chansons et 40 mélodies et une minuterie dâarrêt automatique au bout de 15, 30 ou 45 minutes avec un volume sonore réglable.Autre fonction intéressante, cette veilleuse peluche est capable de détecter lorsque bébé pleure et de déclencher automatiquement les mélodies pour le calmer et lâaider à se rendormir.Mais le plus important câest que ce petit pingouin en peluche est lavable en machine.Le seul point négatif câest que cette veilleuse fonctionne avec 2 piles AA fournies certes, mais il faudra en avoir toujours dâavance car une fois le rituel du dodo installé, il vaut mieux ne pas tomber en panne de piles â¦
For the price it’s nice. The cry sensor does not work. It’s very cute and the stars reach the ceiling. Like I said for the price it’s nice. I was just expecting more.
