I would have given this product 5 stars, as it is easy to use, the remote is very handy, the lights are bright, the timer is handy, and it wass an overall good product, however….the spinning lights are what my son liked about the product the most, and it stopped spinning after a few months. We have only had it for 5 so hopefully the rest doesn’t quit also. Past the return window, unfortunately. Would love to have that feature work again, he’s asking me to get it fixed or buy a new one… but if I go the buy route, I think I’d try something different if they can’t resolve this issue… it seems to be very common based on the reviews.
I loved this for the first month! I even bought two more for my kids as Christmas gifts. My baby would stare up at the ceiling, and the rotation would calm him to sleep every night. But after one month, it stopped rotating. The light still works, but it is just a light and no longer helps my kids fall asleep from zoning out to the rotation.
Everything is great, except the fact you can’t turn down the brightness of the stars. In a dark room at night it’s like getting stabbed in the eye by Darth Vader’s light saber if you happen to walk by and it shines on your face. Even on blue or dimmer colors. This thing is at a level 13… needs to be down to an 8.
This little guy struggles with sleep. He has since day one. We have tried many things to help. Some things work for a time then he changes so our approach has to change. Currently he is (suddenly) terrified of the dark. We have tried many lights but, if you ask me, LED has ruined nightlights. Itâs too bright!! I donât want to enable him to ever sleep in the dark by lightning up his room like a landing strip! Anyway, this is also likely LED but because only the stars and moon show the intensity is a bit less. He and I like the blue for that reason as well, itâs not obnoxious. We will try other the red, green and combos later. The only colors you can project are red, green and blue. The picture is a bit misleading as far as color goes. We tried the rotating, he prefers stationary. He is not a fan of most of the noises but I can see them working for a baby. He does like the music. We havenât tried them all for sleeping but they sound nice. The volume is great too. The old school yellowish nightlight on the bottom is awesome! It lights the bottom half of the room perfectly even at its lowest setting. There are only too improvements I think could make this a five star item. One, back up battery for power outages. Two, being able to program the time it turns on and off. Currently you have to set the timer every night. I set his for the whole night, every night, because he wakes a lot. Overall, a nice product. If it stands the test of time, I will up it to five stars since the biggest issue with all these kiddy items is longevity.***FYI shortly after writing this review, I came across an article suggesting blue a green light reduced the bodyâs ability to produce melatonin naturally. Also, red and amber light can help sleep. Food for thought. We are going to try using only the red lights to see if there is an improvement in sleep.
Only complaint is if you loose the remote itâs done. Other than that itâs serves its purpose
