STEM Toy Delivers Durable Learning but May Challenge Younger Kids
We recently purchased a STEM toy that promises to be a versatile educational tool, allowing kids to build various vehicles from a single kit. The toy is marketed for children between five and seven years old. However, our family experience suggests it might be better suited for older children or even adults.Attempting to assemble the different vehicles was quite the undertaking. Even as adults, my wife, father-in-law, and I found the instructions intense and at times confusing. This complexity made it challenging to maintain the interest of my nearly five-year-old son throughout the building process. Although the final products were impressive and he enjoyed seeing the completed vehicles, the assembly process was not something he could actively engage in due to the intricate steps involved.On the plus side, the toy is excellent for teaching eye-hand coordination and is quite durableâmy son has certainly put it through its paces without any breakage. It’s packed with features and offers a substantial educational potential to develop various skills.While I have reservations about the recommended age range, this doesn’t take away from the overall quality and innovation of the toy. It’s a solid educational tool that might just need a slight adjustment in age expectations. For its quality and the developmental opportunities it provides, I feel a rating of 4 out of 5 stars is fair, reflecting its value despite the age range challenge.

Building toy works great for our 4 year old grandson.
Not for younger children to assemble
This product says its for age 4-8 I would definitely says it would be on the 6-8 years old end. My son is 5 and very smart and he can’t assemble them. I am 47 and it takes me almost an hour to assemble the cars. Also the tire axel things (black pieces) aren’t long enough to go through the wheel and out the other end and hold a nut on~~ and when you put the nut on tight the tire wont spin and when they do spin it spins the nut off the tire and the tires fall off. Its frustrating after an hour of building it and my child can’t even play with it cause the wheels fall off and he gets upset.
