Not Bad, Not Great
The BOSOIRSOU Child Safety Cabinet Locks are okay, but they didnât quite meet my expectations. The idea behind these locks is greatâthey’re designed to keep little ones out of drawers and cabinetsâbut the execution left a bit to be desired.First, the installation process was straightforward, which is a big plus. The adhesive backing is strong, and I didnât need any tools, which made it quick and easy to set up. However, the adhesive seemed a little too strong in some cases. When I tried to remove one of the locks to reposition it, it tore the finish off my cabinet. This might not be a problem if youâre 100% sure about placement, but itâs something to keep in mind.The locks work well in theory, but the durability is questionable. After a week or two of use, one of the locks started to loosen, and eventually, my toddler figured out how to pull it open. While this isnât a dealbreaker (because not every child is as determined), itâs a concern for parents with especially curious kids. On the flip side, some of the locks were so stiff that even I had trouble opening them quickly, which can be frustrating when youâre in a hurry.Overall, these locks are fine if youâre looking for a temporary solution or have cabinets you donât access frequently. But if youâre after something long-lasting and foolproof, you might want to consider other options. Theyâre not bad, but theyâre not great eitherâjust average.
This is not a universal fit, so be sure to measure before ordering. I donât like the color variation, most dressers have more than two drawers so youâll have to mix colors. This does not come with instructions. I had some difficulty ensuring that I got a flush fit because one side started to stick before the other and there were no application recommendations with them. This does effectively keep my very long drawer securely closed. The downside is that it now takes two hands to open the drawer. The lock automatically reengages, which is nice.
