Best child locks ever!
I don’t usually leave reviews, but after installing these it’s a no brainer! Buy them, just do it. This was my second attempt at buying baby locks. I bought the push down latch ones off of amazing and they did not work at all with my cabinets. They were not long enough and left zero space to get my finger in to push the latch down. I wish I bought these ones first! Watch the install video first and they literally take 15 seconds each to install and they work flawlessly with my newer cabinets and drawers. I installed them on the side of the drawers as there’s no shelf between them, it works great. The magnetic keys are stuck to my fridge and range vent for easy access. I’m so happy to have my sanity back and not having to drag my daughter out of the cupboards every 5 seconds!

Efficient, effective and easy to install
I don’t regret buying these child locks. I chose these over the latch variety because I didn’t want my child pinching his fingers in between the gap, which is a non issue with the magnetic type. They are a bit pricier but worth the investment. I’ve had mine installed for about 4 months They continue to work fantastic. I chose to screw mine in with the included screws, and they were very simple to install. The package included a handy tool to assist in lining them up correctly. Prior to installing these, my one year old child would constantly open the cupboards and remove everything in them. Now he will occasionally try to pull one open after watching me go into a cupboard but then quickly realises he cannot open it and moves onto the next thing he wished to explore. My only qualm with these would be that it is so easy to misplace the keys. It would be really nice if they made them a bit larger or gave you one that fits on your keychain. I ended up accidentally throwing both of them away when clearing the counters, due to them being exactly the same size and shape as the tops to his fruit puree packs. Luckily it’s easy to find another strong magnet at your nearest hardware store (I found a two pack for $4) and Amazon does sell keychain magnet keys also for about 20$ a piece.
EXCELLENT PRODUCT -but BEWARE, I almost returned this product- HERE is WHY
I was very disappointed at first: once two pieces in place -both measured and done perfectly following the INSTRUCTIONS- but the door HOOK would NOT spring back. It would NOT CATCH the matching piece on the cupboard.We thought it was a defective piece. But the SAME THING happened with the next piece we tried on the same spot.I am a meticulous, well organized person. I take the time to carefully read and understand the instructions prior to undertaking a project.But I have NO PATIENCE with stuff that doesn’t perform as IT SHOULD.After two tries, I had enough of that “cheap stuff” and asked Amazon for my money back.THEN I NOTICED SOMETHING -while handling another (THIRD) piece just for the sake of it:AS I MOVED a third piece along the frame of the door, the little hook would spring back, then hide, then spring back, then hide, depending on its location along the frame!!!!!!!!!!!ALL I could SEE along the frame of the door on BOTH sides was WOOD!!There had to be something magnetic in there, a hidden nail or something for the hook to behave like that, because depending on the location, the hook would hide or show (spring up).So, I did one more try, taking this new knowledge into account and, Bingo! SUCCESS!!By moving our INSTALLATION SPOT to a location along the frame where the hook stayed up, no more problem. PERFECT SYSTEM.I bought this system to keep our cat SHERLOCK, a very curious Abyssinian, out of our cupboards.I gave the “Easy to use” specific part of the evaluation 4 stars because there should be warning about this in the instructions. But my overall evaluation of the system is 5 stars nevertheless.Conclusion:This is a good product but for the SYSTEM to work FLAWLESSLY, it is IMPERATIVE to VERIFY that the chosen SPOT IS NOT MAGNETIC. (read above for more info)I would bet my boots that people who experienced problem with this, including the person who rated number 1 for the most helpful “bad” review, probably never realized what the cause was.The purpose of the magnet is to allow for the system to disengage (hide the hook) allowing the door to open. The problem was that the presence of that magnet was UNKNOWN to the USER.The system WAS DOING ITS JOB: it was responding to the hidden MAGNET inside the door rather than to the BUTTON MAGNET designed for that purpose by the company.It’s my two cents anyways.Realizing this, I immediately CANCELLED my RETURN.I love â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸this product. I even ordered a second set.

Terrible product
The instructions are complete garbage. I watched a video on YouTube which helped ALOT. Thereâs a piece that helps you install the locks and mine must have been faulty because the pieces constantly kept snapping off of it, making the install impossible and very frustrating. Donât recommend these at all.

Much easier to install than I thought
Took a while to figure out what I was looking at, but then when it came to installing, the cradle worked so well. I was sure I was going to have to fight with this to get it to work right but nope.After cleaning the area, put the pieces in/on the cradle, double check you have everything pointed in the right direction, pull off the tapes, attach the top while still in the cradle, let go, close door to attach to the door part. Open door and make sure the door part came out of the cradle correctly. If no good, reposition and try again or if all is well remove cradle from top part, close door and test if it locks correctly. If so, open door, and hold the glued on pieces firmly for 30 seconds to make sure the bond is good.I even have them on a harder-to-do area under the bathroom sink. Thought I’d have to screw them in place but the glue pad is strong enough.I recommend these, they work well, although it’s only been a week.I put a little youtube video to show how to install them as I don’t find the instruction booklet very easy to follow, just search:Installing child-safe magnetic cabinet locks after cleaning.
Now that my 1 year old is getting into everything, she has found that it is fun to go through my kitchen cabinets. I was okay with her doing so, except the cabinet beneath my sink, which holds cleaning supplies. She also liked to open drawers and leave them open, which became a hazard to me lol. So I hopped on Amazon and looked for some cabinet locks. These locks are fantastic! Very easy to apply and customizable! I got the package of 10, very affordable, and still have some left over in case she decides she wants to open anything else that she shouldnt!! I cannot attest to the removal process as I do not plan on removing these locks anytime soon. They use a heavy duty command strip on the back, so even if there is residue left over, it would be able to easily be removed. These locks are also perfect for refrigerators, side by side doors or single door. Like I said, they are customizable! I’m very happy with my purchase!
Great for baby proofing a house !
These baby latches have strong adhesive and were super easy to install. Our 11 month old has just discovered the joy of pulling open the dresser drawers but can lose her balance and accidentally slam the drawer shut pinching her fingers. I was really hoping these latches would prevent the drawing from opening far enough for her to slip her finger inside the drawer at all but these don’t do that. The band stretches a little and you need enough slack to undo the lock so even when these are properly installed the drawing can still only ~3/4″ which is the only negative about them.

Because of this, I stuck mine to surfaces where damage was unlikely. like the glass of a cabinet door instead of the painted wood (see photo). You will not be able to reuse the original adhesive after removing the latch.I’m a little concerned that my kiddo will figure out how to open them, as it’s not very difficult to do, but so far they have done their job.
This is a great product. My son will be 2 in a month, and he has recently discovered all of the fun stuff in the kitchen drawers. I love that you receive so many in this package. It is enough to really childproof a small kitchen. The adhesives are strong but depending on what drawer you add them to a very strong child may be able to pull them off with strong force. This is something you would need to test on your own. This worked perfectly for me. My child also knows that he should not touch this drawer because this is on it now. They are easy to install, but the lock can be tricky at times to get unlocked. It will also take some creativity to install them on certain drawers depending on how your kitchen is set up. Overall, I like them and would recommend them.
