I got this because of the easy way for bottles, but so far they work really good on everything. It is soft tot he touch and it doesn’t ruin any pan. Has a good scratch without damaging. Good product.
I bought these for a very specific purpose. I’ve noticed the many water bottles around the house develop a mildew smell from time to time. And I’ve had no way of cleaning the inside except by rinsing with soap and water, which doesn’t really feel like “cleaning.” Of course I could have bought a brush long before this, but I haven’t. So when I saw this, I grabbed it.They do the trick. The handle is sturdy but the brush is flexible enough to get down into those tall, narrow, insulated stainless steel water bottles and clean the entirety of the inside walls. I wouldn’t think of these as particularly helpful in cleaning, say, caked on food, because the bristles are pretty soft. But they absolutely do the trick for water bottles. And if you put coffee in insulated Yeti cups, these’ll do the trick there too.I’m not sure why I might need the tiny inner-handle brush, but I’ll keep an eye out for a use. It’s certainly not a negative, but maybe overkill? At the price, this is a solid pickup and gives me exactly what I was looking for.
I picked these up because they looked like they’d do a better job at actually scrubbing than the softer bottle brushes I typically see. I drink psyllium fiber power from a shaker bottle, but the particles cling to the insides of the bottle pretty firmly. Regular bottle brushes just don’t have enough scrubbing power to remove them. What I like:- These brushes do indeed have a stronger scrub than most.- They are long enough to get to the tallest water bottles.- The ends of the brush are angled for easier scrubbing. The angle puts more of the bristles into contact with the bottom of the bottle.- The current price of $18 for two seems fair to me.What I don’t like:- The bristles at the end of the brush were flattened so that the metal wire winds up coming into contact with the inside of the bottle. So you’re more scraping than you are scrubbing.- I wish there were more bristles, and stronger ones at that.Overall, these are pretty good brushes. They do a better job of scrubbing off stubborn particles than the typical sponge-based bottle brushes do.
I was having such a hard time cleaning the very bottoms of some of my water bottles and tumblers, because most dish cleaning brushes aren’t long enough, but these brushes are a really great length for getting those harder to reach places.
I’ve gone through a few different bottle brushes. The foam ones fall apart and don’t scrub. Some have cheap handles that are hard to hold. Some don’t reach all the way. Some don’t get into the corners at the very bottom. This brush not only cleans my bottles, including my big Stanley Thermos, but it has a hidden crevice brush that I forget is in the handle. Hidden handle brushes usually spin out when you’re scrubbing, but the threading on this one keeps it from spinning and the shape of the big brush doesn’t spin either. This is my fav brush for bottles!
