The quality on this item is very poor. The arm snapped after a few uses
I work outside quite a bit and wanted some shade for my laptop screens. This product is great for shade. It is a bit flimsy soni added some skewers and clipped the two shades at the top and it worked great! I use it with two portable screens and it provides enough shade to keep glare off all three screens. I haven’t tried it in breezy conditions; however, I am not sure it would hold sturdy.
I have a lot of windows near my desk, and the glare was giving me headaches while working. What’s nice is that each shade has it’s own clamp, so I was able to put one behind my monitor (attached to the desk) and one to my right to block light on the side as well. The shades themselves are thin and flop over the clamp if you touch them. So, I have to keep angling the clamp to keep the one on the side upright. A bit of a pain, but the shades are reasonably large and low price, and they do block the light.
Be prepared to doctor these up if you buy them. They screens are flimsy and flop down flat. I had to use paint sticks with them to keep the sturdy. Great concept but poor design. They really should rethink the sturdiness of the shades.
