HEAVY DUTY – 2 X 4 FITS PERFECTLY
These heavy duty U shaped brackets are well made. The brackets are solid with a definite heft to them. They come pre-drilled with 3 holes to screw the bracket into the wall and 2 holes to secure the barricade material if desired.The black powder coating over the stainless steel is flawless and scratch resistant. These brackets are easy to install and all the required hardware needed is provided. My only critique is that the screws provided are too small if you are using this for security purposes. I’ll be using my own larger/stronger screws as I’m using these brackets for home safety. If you are using it for decorative purposes, the screws provided are adequate.I’ll be installing these brackets on either side of my double door entrance to use with a finished 2 x 4 for security purposes. With a stained piece of cedar 2 x 4 and these brackets it is a very attractive design feature.
Almost a five but…
I bought 2-packs of these brackets. The first pack was perfect. Bent the proper way with the holes drilled to the correct size. The second pack of 2 brackets was a miss. One bracket was okay but the other bracket was bent in the incorrect direction thus making the drilled holes upside down.

The brackets are well made. Very strong with three screw holes and a good coating on the steel.Personally I am going to use much more robust screws than what is provided.
