This has been of terrific assistance in keeping my mum who suffers from hallucinations and delusions out of rooms she should be in. Easy to install. Easy to use but complicated enough dissuade my mum.
So far so good but only a 2 pack not 3!
This says 3 pack but only comes with 2! Returned once, thought it may be just a fluke but no second one was just 2 also. We liked them & needed something as soon as we moved for the basement door though, so we kept them. My husband’s office is in the basement so we needed him to be able to open from the other side, we leave the top open & so far the little ones haven’t figured out how to open them.Edit: the company did offer a full refund which was nice. I changed the review to 4 stars because I do really like these. Just don’t expect to get 3.
I have paddle-handle doorknobs in many places in my house. My new dog (6 yr old rescue lab) has some separation anxiety and I found she could easily open the door between the kitchen and the garage when I left that way in the car. Then sheâd happily run out when I opened the garage door on my return.I searched for baby and pet-proofing solutions and found this. It fits with my handle and works great to stop her from opening the door.HOWEVER, as some reviewers noted, it also locks me out until it is released from the inside. I pull the car into the garage, then have to go around and use the front door to get in.If I forget to disable it and take Pup outside via the front door, but try to get back in through the garage after dropping a poop bag in the trash, yes, Iâm locked out and get mad at myself.But it is a small and resolvable problem relative to the relief I get from knowing Pup wonât get into anything bad for her in the garage, and wonât escape when I pull the car back in.I was worried about it coming off the door so I was careful to follow the installation instructions precisely. It has stayed strong through the winter (unheated garage) and I really donât think it would come off at all unless I used a heat gun or hair dryer to loosen the 3M adhesive.Easy to set and easy to clear. No way the dog could manipulate the buttons to release it while Iâm gone. I canât predict how that would work with children who could reach it, though. Or cats. Which I do think are probably craftier than dogs, on average. Please do not tell my dog I said that; she canât read or see Amazon reviews herself so if she finds out it will only be because someone told her and we donât want that, do we. Thanks.
My little one has the tendency of opening the door as soon as my husband steps out the house to take a call/ trash or get fresh air. She wants to go with him. I purchased this item to prevent her from constantly running after him. Since installing this product, she has not been able to open the door. It makes me feel good knowing that sheâs also safe from running out.
Perfect for my Toddlers room! Super easy to install, product seems to be good quality, and it works! Both arms are adjustable. Once you install, just adjust those arms to lock in your handle at any position.

Was extremely easy to install. Just pull the paper off the back and stick on your door. I love that both the top and bottom bars move. It makes it very easy to get the handle snug so it canât move at all. It seems like it is very sticky. It has been on a few days now and holding up great so far.
