I have been using their security cameras for over 10 years. Donât have any problems at all. this new camera shares the same Mi home app, very easy to connect. The camera quality is good, especially the night vision, it is bright and clear. Also it has a new loud noise function. It works very well. I place the camera on main floor, when my dog barks at basement or 2nd floor, I can still receive notifications.
Awesome – Baby Monitor
We bought this to set up in the nursery as we await the arrival of our new baby. Set up was super way and quality of both sound and video are outstanding. Really great item, makes a good baby monitor and we can use it later as a security system.
Decent pet camera
My dog has seizures so I wanted a camera for indoors that I could set up in his play area to monitor while I’m at work. This camera worked well for the task. It was easy to set up and the instructions were fairly simple to follow. It connected to the app with relative ease and the picture is clear. The app is decent to navigate and not too complicated compared to other camera apps I have used. I would order it again.

Placed it on the ceiling by the window
This is a great camera!I’ve had it working for a few months now to give it a real test.All of the app features work consistently and reliably, such as person tracking.The best part is the fact you can mount it upside down from the ceiling, which is what I did, and the pan of this camera is so wide that I am able to remotely view what’s happening in my front foyer as well as the outside front of my home because of cleverly mounting it close to a window. This allows me to have just one camera to record what’s happening both outside and inside the front of our home.Quality is excellent too. The two way sound echoes a lot like all other cameras with that feature, although I don’t mind because I never use two way talking.
A great indoor security camera loaded with features
We often think of security cameras only for use outdoors. It is just as important to have security cameras inside to add an extra level of protection.I saw this 3K indoor security camera that advertised all of the features I would want and decided to order it.The camera arrived very well packaged. It comes with a user manual, an extended warranty certificate, the camera, mounting hardware if you want to attach it to a wall, a USB cable, and a USB power block.Setting this camera up is very easy. You need to install a micro SD card which is not included but these are very cheap and this will take up to 256 Gig micro SD card.After you load the “Mi Home” app on your phone you follow the instructions and the camera installs easily.This camera has a lot of features. It does 360-degree rotation as well as tilt. It has night vision that works very well. There is also 2-way communication so you can speak to anyone who is near the camera.The video from the camera is very clear and bright.You can set up notifications to let you know when the camera detects motion. It will record the video and save it to the SD card when it does detect motion. There is also smart sound detection which is a feature I have not seen very often.This camera supports Wi-Fi 6 which is very stable and works very well. I have recently installed Wi-Fi 6 in my home and this connects perfectly.This camera is perfect not only for security but great for monitoring a baby, your kids at play, or even your pet. The 2-way communication is perfect so you can communicate with anyone even when away.I am very happy with this camera. It has every feature you would ever need and works great.The price is a little higher for other standalone video cameras I have seen but this camera has a lot more advanced features than other cameras on the market.I do recommend this camera for anyone who wants to monitor any area inside their home.
It was troublesome to setup
I have mixed feelings about this camera. The initial setup was a pain to say the least. The app was easy to find and install. I created an account without any issues. However connecting the camera to the app was a nightmare.It wouldn’t go past a certain point. I tried resetting the camera, I restarted my phone. I updated the app, then I unistalled and reinstalled it etc. I was about to give up when finally it decided to work afterall.The camera itself works as intended. There are lots of options, however the little booklet only states basic details, it would be nice to include a comprehensive guide so users could understand and utilize the full potentials of this unit.The camera comes with a micro SD slot which is great if one would like to record security footages.I am not a fan that the camera operates with a micro USB cable as a power source, it is not rechargable so it always have to be plugged in. The cable is not very long so it has to be close to an outlet which can be difficult if you plan on using it as a security device.Update: At first I was not happy with this camera but after the initial problems of setting this camera up and have the app connect to it, I should say it works quite well on a long run. I tried to connect to it remotely and I had no problem. Therefore I am changing my rating.
Very easy to set up, the image quality is high, and very sensitive to track motions. Great camera to use at night to keep family safe.

Got this so I could monitor my car from my apartment window at night. But then since it’s rotating, i can just turn it remotely to see the rest of my apartment when I’m gone, so this is a cool feature! Setup was simple (just needed the mi home app, and then in the app added a camera, and scanned the qr code on the bottom of the camera, then just filled in the wifi details), the app was a breeze, and it’s very simple + easy to control the camera from the app and have it record to the SD card + my NAS (didnt even know the app supported this at first, and that’s amazing)
I needed to upgrade the camera that’s in my son’s room.. this camera is a fantastic deal. Very clear images and It has bonus features I didn’t expect which just upped the value of the camera. It follows people as they pass the camera, you can share the live view with privileges or just the viewing option. The cloud service is reasonable, it is also not necessary since it has an SD card option.
