Helps using craft glue gun
I picked away at this as this was a huge puzzle and done in two large sections that join together. Start with Great Hall assembly section and I found that was good until started to do the towers. They are difficult to wrap around and keep in place. I found if I use a small heat glue gun for crafts with a gluestick does help. It was great for the underside of the puzzle to glue the locks in place into the base at the bottom of the puzzle to prevent the buildings from popping up. I also use the glue to reinforce some structures and to prevent the cardboard from coming away when enclosed or wrapped around the buildings. There was just a few steps that were time consuming to do but the instructions were well done.The second section is the Astronomy Tower and that was a bit easier than the Great Hall. There was a few small pieces like the green houses to put in the court yard where they were so small I broke a tab off one end when trying to fold the corners down. I also enjoyed how the base section is built at the beginning and is raised before putting the pieces on top. The Great Hall section had buildings done and then multiple sections of the base to eventually pop onto the bottom of the structures which was time consuming.At the end of the puzzle the small bridge from the Great Hall was actually only temporary. I glued it in. Needs be removed so the longer bridge connects to the two cutouts there from the Astronomy Hall. As the puzzle was so big on the dining room table had it taken to basement and will join i together there when I have a permanent place for it.This was the first 4D puzzle I did on punchout sheets and was more complex and time consuming than expected. I am 39 and cant see how an 8 year old can work on this with some spots.I’m attaching a picture of the Great Hall where can see the the bridges that will connect to the other section and another showing just the size with this section being completed as I did not get a picture of the completed Astronomy Hall before partner took it downstairs which I cannot do right now due to recent injury needs heal before can walk.It is better to get the complete castle instead of the two separate sections also and don’t be afraid to have craft glue on hand. Puzzle does not require it but makes it more enjoyable especially if don’t plan take it apart.
