Basically, I have limited first aid experience, and moderate knowledge. Just lucky I guess I have never had to use the skills. I am pleased with the durability of the inner waterproof bags, the outer kit bag itself has a robust sealing zipper, and I suspect the fabric will at least shed water. This will certainly float if dropped in the water. I like that two waterproof bags where provided. The main one holds the bulk of the supplies, while the other is mostly empty. It gives you the option to have two separate pouches inside the main if you want to customize. With the supplied items, there is very little space for extras, but there is some more room in there. I will be getting myself a good pair of scissors. The ones that came with it will be going into my tackle box. I really do think there is enough in this bag to keep me confident that if something does happen, I will have what I need to get me to safety. If you do buy this, or any other first aid bag, make sure you check the contents, become familiar with them, and know how to use them. I would buy this again.
Good kit – not as good as USA version though
Canadian Adventure Medical Kits do not contain any medications other than antiseptic wipes, bug bite wipes. You don’t really get much to replace it, but the kit is still pretty good. Plenty of room to beef up the kit with other items and have it still be light.

I was looking for a first aid kit I could use in the house, but also double as a portable one I can take on my camping, hiking, and backpacking trips.Adventure Medical Kits were highly recommended to me. After doing some research, I found this to be the best combo in terms of content and portability. I also like that itâs waterproof.I did add a quickclot and some Advil to the kit. Thereâs still room for a few more things if I wanted.I havenât really needed to use it yet, but I feel I have what I need to deal with the most frequent situations.

Contents not as advertised
I like the size and lightweight advantage but there are so many things to be added that the pouch is too small. I ordered this for the water-proof feature but am not able to use it as intended. I would have been better off assembling a custom kit and using a ziploc bag.

Very lightweight and packed full of useful bits. I try and be the organised one out of my group and feel safer knowing that we have some proper first aid should we need it in an emergency. I have used this for hiking, mountaineering and skiing so far, as well as general use round the house.It is contained well in the bag which feels well made and durable, within there are two dry lock bags containing all of the kit. The bags detail what is in each one which is handy if in a rush so you don’t tip out the wrong bag! They are well stocked with almost all you will need but I have added a few bits; a couple of burn gels, some diarrhea tablets and various ibuprofen and allergy medicines.One you hope to not need but never want to be without!
I received my .5 kit today, which I bought for solo backpacking. It’s even smaller and lighter than I expected. Quality seems good. I’m quite pleased.The earliest expiration date on any of the medications is May 2011, about 14 months away. I’m not a doctor or anything, but those meds are probably OK to use for 2 or 3 years.They no longer use Aloksak bags; the bag is labeled “Dry Flex.”There is a fair amount of room in the ripstop bag for other gear. I had no problem fitting an AMK Pocket Survival Pak inside. The waterproof bag is already pretty full, however.

Great size, good contents, everything you’d need in a little first aid kit. I’d add in extra bandaids and a tube of antibotic gel from my medicine cabinet, but other than that, very complete.
Already put to use in the Mountains when l had to give First Aid. The Medical Kit is small enough for my Pack, but has everything you need.
