What a great invention!
I just adore my cat. Looks real, sounds real and yes, smells like a real cat after a few days of petting it. The meow sounds is uncanny, sounds like a natural cat. When you don’t pat the animal for a while and you come to slightly brush your hand against its head, it makes a sigh sound. It sometimes wakes up even if you don’t touch it.The only ‘flaw’ is a click click sound it makes when it flickers its ears and the slight mechanical noise you can hear when it moves the rest of its limbs but hey, it’s a robotic cat! This is the next best thing to a real-life cat, especially when you live in a no-pet-allowed apartment. The benefits are that you don’t have to feed it, clean it, take it to the vet and when you don’t want it to meow, you have a ‘mute’ button.Perfect for any age! And it does soothe the anxiety just by holding and petting it. Worth the price!
Best Christmas Gift Ever (According to a 5 year old)
Our 5 year old asked Santa for three kittens. Thankfully Santa nicely explained that he can’t gift real pets because they scare the reindeer (we have allergies in this house so real cats and dogs are out of the question). ;)I was online shopping one night looking for cat/kitten stuffed animals and stumbled across this cat. Against my better judgement and budget, I made the purchase and wondered if I would later regret it.LET ME TELL YOU…both of our boys (5 + 7 years old) LOVE THIS DARN CAT. Even the older one, who is kind of nervous around animals, loves this cat.His name is now snowflake. He purrs, he blinks, and they cuddle him a lot. The meowing is a tad cheesy (some others have said it doesn’t sound overly real and I have to agree), but just put it on mute mode (purring and small movements only). The boys love when Snowflake meows and he has been a part of many of their daily adventures. And if I am being honest, having a fake purring cat is oddly calming. Snowflake has been near me during some tv time and having it “purr” is really quite relaxing. Go figure.I know this cat is not really made for kids, but it was a winning purchase in our household. It took our little guy a little bit to figure out that it actually wasn’t real. I am giving myself 5 stars for shopping late at night on little sleep and pressing the BUY button. The price was definitely more than I intended on spending on a Christmas gift, but I haven’t thought about it twice, now that I see how loved Snowflake is.I docked the cat one star for softness as his body needs to be a tad harder because of the mechanical movements and battery box, but it is still super fluffy. I also LOVE that is came with batteries already in it! 🙂
AMAZING AND FRIENDLY THERAPY CAT!!!
This cat is amazing!!! I am using this cat as a therapy companion for older adults with dementia and behavior problems. The great thing about this cat is that it serves as a therapy companion for everyone including staff members in our nursing home!!! The cat is interactive to voice and touch. The meow sounds cartoony, but it definitely makes people smile and laugh!!! The purring is very realistic. It can also be set on a mute setting where the cat moves without meowing. The fur on the cat is so soft and it is very calming. The best thing about this cat is that you don’t have to clean it’s litter box, you don’t have to worry about allergies, and you don’t have to feed it!!! This cat is more friendly than a real cat!!!I bought 4 Joy For All Companion Cats and I am so happy that I did!!! Kids love this cat as well. The daughter of one of our staff members loved it so much that she wanted to buy one for herself! You will be very pleased with this therapy cat!!! It is much more than a toy and it is much higher quality than a toy cat that you would buy at the toy store.
Amazing for dementia patients – just one small warning
I bought this for my mother with dementia and she loves it. Petting the cat seems to calm her, and she is always checking to see where the cat is (if it’s not already on her lap); she even sleeps with it beside her in bed. It’s a hit with all the ladies at the nursing home, I’ve had numerous requests for info on where to get one.Just a couple small comments. One, the meow isn’t realistic at all – it really does sound like a human mimicking the sound. It’s easy to avoid though – you can have the cat on ‘mute’, so it purrs but no meowing. I’ve left mom’s that way and she is happy with it. My main issue is when the cat goes to lick it’s paws. Most of the time when it makes this action, the entire top portion of the cats body flips backwards, causing a shift in weight and making it fall off laps or beds if it’s too close to the edge. I ordered a replacement thinking that this was just a defect with the one I got, but the new one did it as well so we’re keeping the original. It’s not enough to make me return the cat – my mom loves it too much to do that, and I really do think it’s well worth the money overall – but you definitely need to be careful. This action will also make the cat freeze in the awkward half-backwards position if somebody is holding it to their chest tightly, but turning it on and off has fixed that so far.

This cat is so realistic! She purrs, meows, licks her paw, and when you pet her she reacts! However, you have an option to make her soundless and just purring when it’s night time or what have you to save battery maybe. Also you can turn the robot off, saving more battery. It’s only 4. C batteries and they last a long while. For those who cannot afford a real animal in our economy, those who are in hospital beds, kids who can’t accept the responsibility yet, and maybe just to have a friend cat you can bring anywhere is nice ð whatever the reason, this product is well worth the money!

Da er Katzen mag, schloss er diese schnell in sein Herz.Die Funktionen sind total echt und auch nicht zu laut. Sie beruhigt Einen und lässt Einen Glauben,dass man eine lebendige Katze im Arm hält.Das Fell ist weich und lässt sich gut durchkämmen.Vielleicht etwas zu teuer, aber wir bereuen nicht, diese Katze gekauft zu haben.Zur Therapie von “besonderen” Menschen und für ältere Menschen ist diese Katze definitiv sehr gut geeignet.
