Easy to build
Built this in less then an hour. Everything went together easy and it’s a great size. I looked at a lot before purchasing this one and it’s perfect for our 4 and 6 year old. Tons of room for them to play. Very happy with this buy.
Good but needs some improvements
Overall it’s a pretty decent sandbox. The improved design appears to address the issues other customers complained about with the canopy easily breaking and the bench backrest not being strong enough for an adult.There are however some things I would recommend you assemble.1) Predrill all holes to avoid wood splitting. This probably adds 30 minutes to the assembly time but I didn’t have any wood split so everything is nice and tight.2) Hinge screws are too small – I replaced with nuts and bolts for much better strength3) The canopy pivot bolt. Add a large flat washer on the outside. There is a large washer included on the inside but not the outside so when you fasten tightly you will damage the wood because it is soft. The large washer prevents this. I also added a lock washer but the bolt wasn’t long enough. But if you have a very thin large flat washer and a thinner lock washer it works. This makes all the difference in the world for the canopy to be tight enough that it doesn’t slip.I assembled everything including making the self improvements in 2 hours. I didn’t need a second person to install the canopy – I found it easily doable with one person. With 2 people would definitely cut down the assembly time.Manufacturer:- Use larger hinges and nuts and bolts to fasten. Those tiny screws are useless and won’t hold the parts together for long.- Use a longer bolt for canopy pivot to accommodate a second outside washer and lock washer (should be included for assembly).- Predrill all holes

Weâve had it for a few months now. As long as you slide the top down and close up the sandbox after every useâ¦.there are no problems. Itâs perfect. Wood is extremely sturdy but I could see how it could crack in hardcore weather, but only if you donât put the top down. Pretty simple stuff. My son is obsessed. It can easily fit two to three small children inside. And it holds probably 6-7 50lb bags of sand. LOVE IT.

Once built, I love this sandbox! Very sturdy and has good shade coverage. The instructions were pretty clear as well.With that being said, there were some issues. One of the pieces (the part holding up the canopy) had been assembled upside down by the factory. I had to unscrew it and screw it into the other end so the rest of it would fit. One piece came split but it was a part that wasnât major. The main issue was once I got to the canopy. They have small dimples of where the screws go in and I had followed them the whole time with no issue. Once I got to the top of the canopy, one of the cross bars had dimples that ended up running into each other. They were placed on a 90 degree angle so they needed to be spaced out as to not run into each otherâ¦.spoiler alert they ran into each other. I had to drill my own hole and it kind of ruined the layout but with the canopy attached you canât tell!With all of that being said, I still love the product and my kids are having a blast with it. The instructions say it takes 45 minutes to set up with two people. I had myself and my two year old, but I would be shocked if I got it done in 45 minutes with another adult!Once assembled it is great though!!
I was very weary of buying a sandbox online but Iâm so glad I took the chance with this one. It was easy to set up, just make sure like with any wood, donât over tighten and you shouldnât have any issues, plus I appreciated the instructions that were more than adequate to put together correctly, just make sure when you are lifting and lowering the top that both sides are even, then you just twist the knobs on either side. Easy peasy! I can get it set up for play in seconds by myself and then kick my feet up, plus bench seats are easy to fold out and I can sit comfortably while my 2 year old plays with ample room.Letâs talk durability..honestly Iâm very impressed with the quality, Itâs a nice strong wood (no splits or cracking and sanded down nicely to avoid splinters), it held up all winter in the IL snow with nothing over it except the cover that it comes with and it held up great! The cover is removable and attached with strong Velcro so if you ever need to give it a rinse with the hose itâs a snap without getting the sand wet. For reference we used four 5-pound bags of play-sand to fill and it worked out perfect.Overall, itâs a nice, durable sandbox that you will be able to enjoy for years to come..plus you donât have to sit in the sand to play with your kids..you can be comfy too!
The sand box Is cute. Niece loves it but seat broke off the same day. Wish I would have purchased something of better quality
