Reviews

  1. Greatest cream ever!
I usually don’t write any review no matter the product is good or bad, and this is the first review I’ve ever written because the cream is so amazing. My baby has very bad eczema and I’ve tried all the creams doctors and nurses suggested, non of them worked. So I had to use prescription creams like steroids and antibiotics to control the eczema and make my baby’s skin less itchy. The eczema gets better some days and then goes worse later. I don’t want to use prescribed creams for the long run cuz there’s side effects. I didn’t know what to do about it until I tried this cream. This cream is a life saver! Whenever my baby scratches himself like crazy in the middle of nights, I put this cream on him, he goes quiet and goes back to sleep within a few minutes. It seems working like a steroid but without side effects. I got two of them for my baby and one for my friend as a gift. I really hope they can come with a bigger tube.

  2. Good for eczema on face and hands
I was looking for a replacement lotion for atopic dermatitis on my hands that occurred a number of years ago due to working with chemicals regularly. The one I used has been increasingly harder to find so I took a look around, and saw reviews and the ingredients list for this one & figured I’d try it. So glad I did. It helps clear up and soothe my eczema with ease. No fragrance, which is a bonus. This also soaks in easily to your skin and leaves no greasy residue. I wouldn’t recommend this as a full hand cream or body lotion, but for spot treatments for hands/body/face, it’s definitely worth it.

  3. Good product but small amount
Excellent product but wish it was a larger tube

  4. Great for soothing itchy skin
My 2-year son has eczema on his arms and a bit on his back. His arms get red, dry and irritated from sunscreen, so I decided to try this cream because of the great reviews. Yes, the tube is quite small, but a little goes a long way! I have been using it twice a day for a few weeks now, once in the morning before the sunscreen goes on (waiting a few mins for it to soak in) and once after his bath in the evening. It soothes the redness and itching, is not greasy, and has only a mild, natural scent to it.At first I was disappointed that it didn’t clear the dry, flaky skin better, but after using it consistently I see that it has made a big difference. The most irritated parts of his eczema (in the bend of his elbows and under his arms) are not red and raw from scratching anymore. In fact, he does not even appear to be itchy anymore! I put some on a bad mosquito bite I had scratched raw and I really noticed on myself, too, how soothing and healing this cream is.

  5. Not sure how effective it is
Don’t really know if this product actually works, it seems to give good moisture but if you use it on dry skin due to eczema nothing happens.

  6. Cleared up my newborn’s skin like magic.
We have a 7-week old that was developing some red, dry skin on his cheeks and forehead. Coconut oil and a baby moisturizing bar from another company weren’t doing much. Our family doc recommended Aleva and said she used it for her kids. It worked amazingly well – his skin improved after the very first application and was back to normal within two days. There is a slight medicinal smell when you apply it but nothing crazy, and it fades quickly. Highly recommended.

  7. Not suitable for my sensitive skin.
There is obviously an ingredient in Aleva Naturals First Rescue Calendula Skin Cream that does not agree with my sensitive skin type. Upon using this product for the very first time, I experienced a burning, stinging feeling on my hands. This product is recommended for very dry and chapped skin, although, it is abundantly clear, it does not agree with my sensitive skin. I will wait and use the product again to see if I have the same reaction. If so, it will get thrown in the garbage. at this point, I would not recommend this product for anyone with sensitive skin.

  8. Great Calendula Cream
Calendula creams can be hit and miss. This one is a hit, so far. I’ve got fairly sensitive Irish skin and I am out and about a lot so a little extra care goes a long way. This cream goes on ez, has a nice natural smell, and it absorbs quickly leaving no residue. And, so far after two months of use, my skin loves it. Smooth and pink like a baby’s you-know-what.

  9. works well for cloth diapers! Hardly any diaper rash and clears up within hours the few times we had it.

  10. It was yeah it worked but it’s small and it was OK.

  11. pricey for how small this is. did work for cloth diapers but not sure if its best one I’ve tried- more like lotion than diaper cream.

  12. I ordered this cream because I cloth diaper and this one is safe but it burnt my daughter!!!!

  13. I wanted to love this but I don’t like the smell of cut grass and to me-that’s the main aroma. Otherwise, it’s a nice lotion with good ingredients. It’s not sticky. I cannot say anything about how it works on eczema or dermatitis at this point, but my hands feel remarkably better after just rubbing in the extra bit after application.
