People learn in different ways, like by seeing things, hearing things, or doing thing with their hands. There is a psychologist named Howard Gardner who came up with a cool theory about how there are actually many different ways that people can be smart. He called these pathways “intelligence’s.”

Gardner thought that it’s not just about being good at math or reading. He believed there are nine different types of intelligence. These could be things like being good with words understanding other people’s feelings, being artistic or being good at moving your body.

At first, Gardner had six types of intelligence’s in his idea, but later he added three more. And who knows, there might even be more types that people can have! So, instead of just thinking about being smart in one way, Gardner’s theory helps us see that people can be smart in lots of different ways.
