Q: Are these diapers one size and fit for new-born baby?
A: The diapers are all in one size, you could get different sizes by adjusting the snaps. If the babies’ weigh less than 12 pound, we suggest you use new-born diapers.
Q: What material are the inserts made of and what the dimension is?
A: We have three kinds of inserts, they are 3-layers of Bamboo Viscose Inserts,4-layers Bamboo Viscose Inserts and 5-Layer Charcoal Bamboo Inserts
Q: How many covers and inserts would you recommend buying to start out with a newborn?
A: Between 20 and 24. Seems like a lot, but baby goes through at least 6 or 7 a day and you don’t want to wash them every single day.
Q: Can it be used as swim diapers?
A: It better not.The covers are supposed to be waterproof but pee leaks through.
Q: How to avoid mold problems?
A: We recommends bleaching once a month,try bleach, or sun drying, making sure they dry completely between uses.
Q: What is the weight or age range recommended for baby?
A: The diapers fit for baby from 18-24 months, and weight recommendation is from 6.5 Pounds to 33 Pounds.

They are amazing
I love that these help to save a lot of money, since we don’t have to keep buying a lot of diapers all the time. My baby was 2 months old when we started using them. We tried several sizes to avoid leaks, but what I realized at the end is that what worked for us was: wear only one insert, except at night when he sleeps more time. At night we use 2 inserts but they are combined, one regular and one bamboo (these are waaaay thiner and have good absoption). Since we use them this way we have had no leaks. Also, we usually change them every 2 hours and when we go out we still use disposable diapers for practicity.We got the black and grey options, they are very pretty.

New to cloth diapering – I have been watching these diapers for some time (looked into them alot while pregnant with my daughter) She is 1 month now and I have started using these reuseable diapers. So far I am absolutely loving them! I have purchased another pack already so I have 12 in total to rotate through. The prints I received are exactly what I expected from the picture. They are super cute and feel like really good quality! The liners that come with the diapers are VERY absorbent! We have had no leakage so far. I highly recommend if you are looking to try reusable diapers! The diaper itself is completely waterproof.My only concern when I received these diapers were all the buttons. I was a little overwhelmed with all the different options but I watched some videos online to determine how to set the best fit.
Fun design and easy to use
We’ve only been using these for two days so still bugs to work out but overall I’d say I’m very happy with them for daytime. We have stayed with disposables at nighttime so far.The shell designs are beautiful, I ordered the pack with the fox wearing glasses, whales, and umbrellas. The diapers are easy to use for first timer, I was very nervous trying. So far I have only used the included microfiber inserts because that’s all I have right now, but our son is a very heavy wetter and 19 months old, so I have been double stuffing in the pocket and he soaks them usually within 2 hours and by 2.5 to 3 hours we have passed the limit. We had one small leak so far. For poo I used some disposable Alvababy bamboo liners I bought and I put it in, in the morning and when we went out to the store incase I had to change a messy one while out. We’ve only had one poo in a cloth so far and the disposable liner made it easy. I just took it out and shook off in toilet then threw liner away. I think they’re supposed to be flushable but I’m always nervous about plugging up the pipes so I didn’t flush the liner. The diaper still smelled really bad after but no actual poo on it and no stain.For fit I noticed the elastic around the inner leg/groin was leaving red indentations and also on the bottom of his bum after sitting so I adjusted the leg opening at his next change and now I make sure the middle part inside is as flat as possible when I put it under his bum and that seems to have fixed the issue. I find it helps to hold the diaper at the front top after stuffing inserts and then pull on the inner layer of fabic inside the shell gently, this seems to remove most of the wrinkles in the bum area.Overall I’m very happy with these but they definitely need to be changed every two hours maximum for a heavy wetting toddler if just using the included inserts. I plan to order some additional hemp or bamboo inserts as well and when these go on sale again I will buy another pack of the diapers. I really wish I had ordered two sets upfront to have at least 12 to start with, because he needs to be changed so often.
Good quality and affordable!
All 3 of my kids were in cloth diapers, so I have tried quite a few brands over time. Of the ones available on Amazon, I tried these (Alvababy), Babygoal and La Petite Ourse. These fit well and we had very few leaks. All 3 brands are comparable in my opinion. My son was in these starting one month old. They lasted about 120-150 washes (10 months) before they were no longer waterproof. Then it was obvious that pee was seeping through the diaper, however I would argue that the number of washes we had is still a darned good run. (Think of all the avoided garbage!) La Petite Ourse did last longer under the same conditions. Babygoal lost their waterproofing at roughly the same time. The elastics all held up, which was a problem I had with other brands in the past. The sizing is large enough that I suspect that we will be able to use these until we need to change to training pants.I definitely wasnât as careful with the diapers as I should have been – washed in hot water with Nellieâs detergent, and tumble dried. I personally find that washing in hot water provides the best clean for me. We never had any diaper rash issues when I washed this way, but it does wear the diaper out faster.These are cheaper than other brands, so depending on what you prioritize and how you plan on using them, I think these do the job well.

I absolutely love the quality of these diapers! This is the second set I have bought and I will buy more. I have tried another company offering a similar product, and Alvababy covers quality surpasses theirs. The diapers are easy to put on, they are easy to wash and wash well (I hand wash and hang dry them). Baby has had no blowouts with them (they do not leak).I currently using a diaper service that delivers prefold flats weekly – so I am using these covers with the prefold flats. I use the inserts when I run out of the flats. The inserts was well too and none of my diapers have stained (my daughter is just over 3 months old and exclusively breast fed). I do prefer the inserts I received from the other company as they have a smoother texture, but they only give 1 insert per diaper as opposed to Alvababy’s 2.Overall, the diapers are beautiful, with vibrant colours and designs. They are convenient to use and excellent quality. Cloth diapering has definitely changed since cloth diapering my son 16 years ago!
