I use the Ameda Pearl hospital grade pump. It’s way too bulky. So I decided to switch it to this pump. Simply because I am comfortable with the flange, and how the pump works. Mendela seems too much hype, and momcozy just didn’t fit right with my short nips there weren’t enough suction.Only one that works was Ameda. There’s a reason canadian hospitals use this.Iam now a fully invested Ameda customer. Their products are 100%I will definitely recommend this to anyone who’s struggling to make milk.Mom’s support moms! â¤ï¸

I have a Medela Swing solo which works well. I was looking for something stronger and double. The pump arrived and one side doesn’t work. I can’t return the item and don’t have time to call and wait and wait for customer service. I simply say: go with a Medela instead.

I love this breast pump. It’s nice and quiet. The pump itself fits in most sweat pants legging pockets. Battery lasts for a good amount of sessions on high suction. Can use plugged in or in portable mode.
Parfait pour le tire-allaitement!
Je fais du tire-allaitement et ce tire-lait a changé ma vie. Je tire 8 fois 30 minutes par jour. Grâce à un soutien-gorge de pompage mains-libre et à la légèreté du moteur du Mya Joy Plus, je peux faire d’autre tâches et même donner le biberon à mon bébé pendant que je tire mon lait. J’arrive à faire au moins 5 séances de 30 minutes sur une charge et les modes de succions sont vraiment confortables. Cependant, j’ai dû à acheter des adapteurs de téterelles universels beaucoup plus petits (15 et 17mm) car si je tire avec du 24mm, je deviens très irritée. Je trouve dommage qu’Ameda n’offre par plus de diversité de tailles.
The motor is good quality
But the plastic bottle that come with it seem cheap and a bit flimsy. It doesnât include nipples to go with the bottles and they are hard to find for smaller babies. Also the bottles tip over easily especially if you bought compatible flanges that properly fit you.
Work great! Skip purchasing the wearables and just buy a hospital grade pump
I prefer this pump over several others I have (spectra s1, s2, s9, elvie, and medela). There is enough suction for me, when Iâve previously been maxed out on my other pumps. I love how portable the pump is, and how long the battery lasts on a full charge. Itâs easy to transport back and forth with its small size. And super quiet.Cons: my charger comes loose sometimes and I find it didnât charge. (But you can still pump while charging) and not able to use no -ameda parts. And the diaphragms have to be super dry otherwise they get stuck in the âsuckedâ position.This is my favorite pump so far!
So I have used the old Ameda Mya pump for a year now, but it is 4 years old because I got it from my sister and she used it before me. I have been struggling with my milk supply so I bought this pump thinking maybe it was time to try to upgrade my pump and see if that helped. It was not an upgrade at all! There is one thing that is better about this pump and that is the charging system it uses, it now uses a usb c which is very convenient but everything else about this pump has been a downgrade. First of all the suction is just awful (and thatâs being compared to a 4 year old pump). Secondly there is a feature on the old one where if you stop the pump on a level the next time you turn it on it will automatically go to the level you turned it off with, this new pump doesnât have that so I have to turn on the pump and then push the button six times to get it to the massage level I want and then when I switch to expression I have to push the button 12 times to get to the level I want, whereas with the old one it just automatically goes to the last used setting. Overall it was a waste of money and when I tried to contact support they just told me I most likely needed to replace my (brand new) pump parts. ð¤
Pros: lightweight, relatively quiet, charges quickly, portable and hands free (in a fanny pack because I find the pump isnt very secure using the wristband it comes unless you hold the pump with one hand)Cons: need to replace valves and membranes every 2 to 3 weeks if you exclusively pump; after 3 months of daily use my pump needed to be held at a specific angle to maintain suction and the suction diminished significantly after about 15 minutes of use even after replacing all parts (tubing, caps, membranes, valves).Update: I had the pumped replaced and the replacement pump doesnt have the suction issues I mentioned above. Also, the new pump’s suction feels stronger when operated at the same level as the old pump, so it may have just been an issue with the old pump. I’ll provide an update if the suction level drops on the new pump.
I am writing this after one use. My regular pump is the lansinoh smartpump 2.0 for the last 4 months. This one does the job but the only thing I wish it had is an option to adjust the speed of expression. It only has one expression speed and I needed level 9/10 for adequate expression. I am an oversupplier. It is extremely small and compact, charges quickly, LED screen is bright. Physically feels like a good quality pump! Ill try and update as I continue to use it.
