My son loves to fall asleep watching the lights. I imagine he won’t out grow it for years. Started using it when he was a month old. I like toys we can keep using.

There are pros and cons to this, but my 3.5 year old absolutely loves it and looks forward to having it on and it calms him down when it’s time for bed, so this makes it absolutely worth it.We love the projections of displays on the wall. It is just underwater blue, but then there are also some orange starfish and fish. Depending how close to the wall it is, they’re not that clear, but my son still sees them and can point them out and enjoys looking for them. It also gives you a variety of sounds, my son likes the music best but it can also play underwater sounds or heartbeat sounds. We also like that after 20 minutes it turns off and this is a good reminder that it is time to sleep.Things that could be improved, although the casing part which shows the whale is soft and plush and awesome, the projection part is very large and is hard plastic, and it always falls out. If my son picks it up or even if I pick it up gently, the middle part pops out and it is very hard to put it back in. My son can’t do it at all and I even have a lot of difficulty. I wish that it was a better fit and that perhaps you would open the whale from the bottom with Velcro or a zipper and then it would fit securely inside. But this is not the case. Also, if you’re looking at exactly where the light projection comes out, it is very blinding, and will have the opposite effect of hoping your little one falls asleep. It is very bright. Also, for my son, the volume is fine since he’s a bit older, and even on the dimmest, setting it is not that dark, but for younger babies, it may be too loud or too bright. But because my son loves us so much, I have given it four stars instead of the original three I was going to.

I really love this cute projector plush. The whale is absolutely adorable. Its also nice to find a projector with a sea theme rather than a space theme. The water patterns it makes look really nice, really give you the feeling like youre underwater, especially with the sea sounds you can pick. Speaking of that sound track its by far my favorite and I just feel so peaceful listening to it, its the sound of waves and seabirds and a gentle music. I usually hate white noise actually, rain, static, and campfire noises just irritate me and give me a headache. But for whatever reason the seascape soundtrack actually works for me the way white noise is supposed to, i fall asleep to it very easily. There are a lot of options to chose from if you want gentle noise to fall asleep to though, so theres probably something for everyone.The lower soft part of the whale is easy to remove from the rest, it just pulls off, meaning you can easily wash it. Its soft and high quality with good embroidery. Its a really good product overall, would be great for kids or if you just really like atmosphere.
Whale Of A Time
While this is a good idea I think thereâs some flaws. Firstly, its plush exterior lends the idea that itâs some kind of snuggle toy. However even on its lowest brightness level itâs too bright to be that close or even in the same crib. Its light unit falls out from the whale easily and it doesnât spread the light very evenly. While it looks good I find it doesnât live up to its nearly $50 price tag. I would recommend shopping around through one of the many night projectors out there. Once you put the batteries in, it is very difficult to nestle perfectly back in place. The sounds are played noticeably on repeat. The lighting was better on the turtle

This an absolutely wonderful projector. It feels like great quality, from the fabric to the projection to the sounds.The fabric is very soft and plush, and is machine washable if you take the body of the projector out (just slips out of the body). The whale is a favourite creature so I love the design, too.The visual projection is lovely. It’s more blue than purple- my pic makes it look purple. At first I couldn’t see the fish, but they’re there, just very subtle unless you’re in a dark room. The projector rotates inside, hence the appearance of moving water. You can brighten or dim the light to your preference.The white noises are also great. You can hear water and waves, lullabies, and then there is the fetal heartbeat. Lovely for little babies and toddlers alike. You can adjust the volume, too.There is an auto-shutoff feature (25 mins) which is great because it runs off 3 AAA batteries. I wish it was rechargeable by USB-C cord, but that wouldn’t stop me from buying it. I’ve had similar projectors and their batteries ran for a long time because they were not used steadily.I probably would not give this to a baby or child to play with because it has a battery and electronic components. I would maybe play with it with them, but put it out of reach when playtime was done.There is nothing not to like about this projector. All the stars!
This whale is great for our nautical themed nursery. I love that it auto shuts off after 30 minutes and has an optional soothing sound setting. Itâs not overly bright of a projector, more of soft lighting, and it really does remind you of a water scene. The little fish that go by are a nice touch. Hoping to be using this for years to come
I got this for my almost 2 year old and his soon to be born brother. He loves the style of it and how cuddly it is. The light is not too bright and sound is relaxing even to my husband. Though, the buttons are quite cheap and jam easily, especially in the hands of 2 year old
I saw other reviewers complain about the sound and light part constantly separating from the plush. But I ignored that and bought it anyway. Guess what? They weren’t lying, lol. And it’s a pain to try and get it back together. My son gets upset because he thinks he keeps breaking it. We kept it because our son loves it. But considering this thing won’t stay together, it’s definitely not worth the price.
I got this nighttime projector and soother for a friend who just had a new baby. Having had two kids myself, I know the importance of getting some help to get kids to relax and sleep. Having a routine and outside distractions can be invaluable in helping kids to go down.This nighttime light projector is a nice mix of stuffed animal, sound machine, and projector. It does all the things it needs to well while not necessarily excelling at any of them. Let me explain.1. It is a good sound machine offering different sounds to which to fall asleep. I tested the ocean sounds with my kids, as I have found that having additional choices for bedtime can be problematic. The 15-minute timer is a little limiting, especially if your kids are not asleep by the time it turns off, but its battery-operated nature requires a timer to save battery.2. Volume control is ok, but I wish there were more options for lower volumes just in case the kids want the stuffed animal near their bed.3. The light projection was a big hit and transfixed my kids. They felt like they were underwater and âswimming with the turtles.â so there were no issues.4. I tested the unit with 3 AA rechargeable batteries, and it worked as expected. Iâm not sure how many days this thing will last with a full charge, but it seemed to work fine. I Will report back if it is extremely short.5. I love that you can wash the outer plush whale and that the electronics are not sown in. It makes this much more accessible to care for, especially with kids who tend to get things dirty. The projector does come out fairly quickly, as my kids found out immediately. I wish there were a Velcro attachment to keep the electronics in place, but the elastic works reasonably well.So, for a soother, this is pretty nifty. It is suitable for traveling and taking over for sleepovers. I would recommend this soother to parents and canât wait to surprise my friends with this lovely gift!
Purchased for a 4 year old birthday gift – girl. She was delighted and uses it nightly. Able to turn off and on herself and because the bottom is soft goes right on her bed next to her.
