Awesome 2 pack camera from Arenti
I ordered this Arenti Alnanny kit plus 2 cam kit for monitoring the inside of my house in different locations. I really like how it comes with its own monitoring screen device. All of the parts in units are well made. The materials are high quality and everything is well put together. I have many other devices from this brand Arenti so I trust their product quality and I’ve never had an issue with them. It also uses the same app as their other products so everything is controlled through the same app.Each of the three devices come with its own detachable USB cable which are really long as well as their own outlet power adapters to plug into the wall. Everything is white in color so it’s all cohesive as a kit.The instruction manual is very well written and explained in detailed steps including troubleshooting. It has color and diagrams as well.The main unit with the screen has decent resolution I believe it’s 720P but it’s good enough for the size of the screen. It has a lot of functions built into it such as taking screenshots video clips volume brightness control of the camera angles turning the camera lights on and off to a audio temperature and humidity detectors sleep mode etc I really like the RGB lights on the cameras.You can also change the language date and time and the wallpaper for the display and also give your feedback to the company through Wi-Fi.The buttons on the screen or plastic and offer a nice feeling hard click which are fairly quiet.The screen is not a touch screen.The screen itself is light in weight and it also has a built-in antenna that can fold into its own body when not in use which makes it a very sleek design. The bottom has a silicone strip for assisting in gripping hard surfaces so it doesn’t slide around.I like how on the screen you can have a split screen display for both cameras at the same time.The audio for the intercom for both the camera and the screen device is clear and loud.I like that the screen display is portable because it has its own battery built into it but you can also leave it plugged in so you can have the screen on all the time if you wanted.It has a Auto screensaver mode where you can set the time to your liking.The smartcare menu inside the main menu allows you to turn the motion detection on and off noise detection and cry detection which I think is a very neat feature to have.It also has a feeding reminder schedule where you can set alerts for yourself.The included silicone bunny ears are optional and can be taken off if you don’t want them.This is such a great product if you’re looking for a baby monitor or something like this for your home I would highly recommend it.
Can be used with or without Arenti app
My main interest in this particular camera system was its inclusion of a dedicated monitor, which meant that I wouldn’t necessarily need to tie up my phone to keep an eye on things or require additional equipment.When I turn on all three devices, the cameras automatically connect to the monitor. There’s no need for a wi-fi router, internet connection, or a smartphone app (though the Arenti app does offer some additional camera configuration options) because the cameras communicate directly with the monitor.I tested the built-in wireless connection by placing the cameras on the ground floor and upper floor of my home. I then went into the basement with the monitor and was able to view the two camera inputs and alter the camera viewing angles without issue.With both cameras connected to the monitor, I could see video inputs in a split-screen configuration on the monitor or view a full-screen angle of each camera. I could also zoom in, but keep in mind that it’s a digital zoom rather than an optical zoom, meaning that the zoomed image is rather pixelated. Via the monitor, I can perform tasks like control each camera’s night light, set various baby-related schedules, etc.I added the two cameras to the Arenti app on my phone, which I found to be a straightforward and self-guided process. Through the app, I could perform a few additional tasks unavailable in the monitor settings: view the camera inputs remotely (i.e. away from home), enable motion tracking (i.e. cause the camera lens automatically to follow a moving object in its field of view), enable event notifications of motion and noise detection on my phone, etc.The monitor has a built-in rechargeable battery, which provides portability for the viewer. For instance, a parent can take the monitor outside to work in the garden without the need to locate a nearby AC outlet. The nice thing about this power system is that the monitor can operate on AC power even while the battery is being charged. However, it’s worth noting that the cameras themselves don’t have built-in batteries and must be plugged in at all times. It would be nice if they operated on both AC and battery power as well, but such additions would likely increase the cost.Overall, a convenient real-time video/audio monitoring system.
