What if I accidentally misoperation cut the zip ties before installation?
Don’t panic. You can use zip ties to re-tighten the two posts near the door lock opening and install the baby gate.
Is it normal for there to be a gap between the door lock and frame before installation?
Yes. Gaps between door lock and frame are normal and will be resolved after installation.
How wide should the gap in a door lock be kept after installation?
After you have completed the installation, please check whether the gap in your door lock is within 2 mm. If not, please tighten the bolt adjustment.

Excellent Gate!
I bought this gate to keep our puppy from going downstairs while also giving our cat a puppy free space. I love the small pet door. Our huge cat fits through the door on the second largest setting and the puppy doesnât fit, so the cat can be safe but also free. The installation was a breeze. I love that itâs *actually* pressure mounted – no holes in the walls at all. And the fit is tight. Love that the door swings both ways making it easy to walk through going up or down the stairs. Solid quality. Iâm super impressed.

Very easy to install. I installed at top of stairs with the included cups . Very secure. Very easy for my tiny dog and my cat to use .
Perfect for wider than normal stairways
A bit challenging to make it fit snugly enough for safety as the bolts are twisted to create a tension fit between the wall and the other side post. Helps to have a second set of hands.
Well made product but;
While this is a solid well made gate, and easy to install I have one caution to buyers.I purchased this to fit in a standard 32â door opening. While it does fit I could not use any of the extender pieces as they would not fit in the 32â opening. Therefore I had to install it with the adjusting screws turned out almost to the max. It works but does not give a neat installation in my opinion. If one of the 2 smaller extension pieces was 1/2â – 3/4â shorter, I would have been able to install it and would have given this gate a 5 stars.

Wonderful baby gate, I am very pleased with it and how convenient it is with my cats and keeping the toddler away from the litter box!
I have purchased several of these types of gates over the years for pets. This is one of the best gates I have ever had – very good quality, sturdy, easy to open and close. It also has the function of staying open when pushed past a certain point and it ACTUALLY stays open. Really nice feature. The adjustable cat door is nice, but be aware that it does rattle. With that in mind, your cat WILL rattle that bad boy when their food dish is empty. At 2 AM. Just sayin’.It installs very easily and sits securely in the doorway and really doesn’t budge once it’s in place. I have bumped into it several times and it hasn’t moved.The only potential issue is that this is a “tall” gate which means it is roughly as high as your average doorknob. I have a gate on a door with a regular “ball” type knob and one on a door with a handle-type knob and both hit the top of the gate, preventing you from being able to close the door fully. Additionally, the part of the gate that impacts the doorknob is the stationary side piece, so even having the gate open will not allow you to fully close the door.Not a terrible issue, but one to be aware of. I have had the shorter, “regular” height gates and they end just underneath the knob and you can close the door. Just an FYI.Overall, a very nice quality gate that works well.
This gate is absolutely perfect for our needs. It is very sturdy and was easy to install. I really like the 2-way swing of the gate door and the auto-close when I’m carrying a load. The latch is easy to operate – even with my arthritis. We also like the adjustable height of the cat door and will use it when our son’s small dog comes to visit. Our cat loves her little door and races to run through before I get to the gate. She also uses it to tease the dog and then escape into her room. I wish we had found this sooner. I HIGHLY recommend this gate if you have a small pet or no pet at all.
Sturdy construction and easy to install. I love the adjustability of the cat door. I can make it big enough for the cat to go through but too small for my 20-lb dog. I wish the lock was a little less childproof or adjustable in some way, but overall a great purchase
We needed a gate that kept the big dog on one side and the other pets on the other. Our mini pig and cat fit through the small door easily (both under 10 lbs), and our dog stays on her side.We had purchased several other tension gates that just would not hold up to our dog. She was able to pull the gate down to get to the other pet’s food and litter box. Not this gate! It’s snug and stayed put with her initial attempts. She finally gave up and we have hormany again.It’s stable, practical, and does what it advertises. The cost matches it’s durability. The closure is tight, and easy to open and close one handed. The small door on the bottom stays up when you want, and closes when you need it to. So far it has held up wonderfully.I’m 5’3″ and can step over the gate when closed on my tippy toes.
First things first, that little piece of paper that says “don’t cut until positioned correctly in place” or something to that effect, listen to it! Lol. The point of this gate is that it’s tension, which is nice because there’s no drilling (however there is an option to drill, I didn’t use that one). The metal is light enough and the gate itself is not an eyesore like brown baby gates from Walmart. The quality is good. Definitely makes life easier for my cat. It comes with a couple extenders, which I had to use one, but it was super simple to incorporate that. The handle to open it up can be a little touchy, but overall, not bad. The door can swing both ways. It’s very safe for my cat and dogs and no one has been able to “accidently” push it open so the closure is good. I would 10/10 recommend!
